After some time, Ozia reappeared, carrying a considerably slimmer stack of papers. Debbie, visibly relieved, snatched them up, her eyes quickly scanning the content.
"Finally, some sense," she muttered, the tension in her shoulders easing. "These are all we need. Everything else was useless fluff. Let's get moving."
Moxxie peered over her shoulder. "So what are we lookin' at here?"
Debbie glanced over the papers, her expression darkening. "Weaknesses, abilities, and some rather... personal details on Ravi and his gang. If this is right, we can hit them where it hurts."Ozia leaned back, his wings rustling as he let out a low chuckle.
"It's not all in there, but it's enough to give you a head start. If you're gonna make a move, now's the time." Debbie grinned, but it was the kind of grin that suggested something big was about to go down. "Then let's make that move," she said, folding the documents and slipping them into her bag.
A couple of hours later, the night had fallen, and the team stood outside a looming mansion nestled in a dense forest, far from the bustling city-Ravi's house.
Moxxie shifted nervously, pulling at his hood. "I don't like this. What if they catch us? Ravi's been on edge lately-he'll see right through this."
Debbie shot him a look. "Relax. We're not going in guns blazing. We're just grabbing what we need, in and out. And we need fluids-blood, saliva, whatever we can get from them. Plus, Chester's lab has some crucial info. If we can swipe that too, we'll be unstoppable."
They snuck around the perimeter, eyes scanning for any guards or security systems. Debbie motioned for them to split up-she would head to Chester's lab, and Moxxie would handle the house.
Debbie slinked through the shadows, her mouse reflexes allowing her to move without a sound. The mansion was massive, but she knew where to go. Chester's lab was hidden, likely in the basement or some secret compartment.
She crept down a narrow staircase until she found a door marked with strange symbols. She smirked-Chester never could resist his love for magical seals. She pressed her hand against the glyphs, and with a faint hum, the door swung open.
The lab was dimly lit, the air thick with the scent of alchemical potions and arcane energy. Debbie's eyes quickly scanned the room, landing on a stack of papers on a nearby desk. She rummaged through them, finding blueprints, formulas, and other notes on Ravi and the others. Jackpot.
But as she turned to leave, the lights suddenly flicked on.
"Looking for something?" came a voice from behind her.
Debbie froze. Slowly, she turned around to see Chester standing there, arms crossed, a knowing smirk on his face. His eyes flickered with amusement, but there was a sharp edge to his gaze."Chester," Debbie breathed, a mix of shock and-impressively-admiration. "You knew I was coming."
Chester chuckled softly. "You always did have a knack for finding trouble. Figured you'd show up eventually."
Debbie tried to keep her cool, slipping the documents behind her back. "Just... checking out some old projects of yours," she said, her voice smooth. "Nothing important."
Chester raised an eyebrow, stepping closer. "Really? Because it looks like you're holding some very important stuff right there. Something that could get you into quite a bit of trouble."Debbie bit her lip, torn.
She'd known Chester for a long time. Seeing him now, in his element, so confident and successful, sparked something in her-a reluctant admiration. He'd come so far. She didn't want to ruin that for him.
She quickly stuffed the papers into her bag, then straightened up. "Actually, you'll be relieved to know I didn't find anything useful," she said with a casual shrug. "Guess you're safe for now."
Chester watched her carefully, his smirk fading into a more serious expression. "You know, you don't have to do this, Debbie. Whatever game you're playing... it's not too late to stop."
For a moment, Debbie hesitated, her tail flicking thoughtfully. "I know. But I've got my own agenda, just like you."
With that, she turned on her heel and darted out of the lab, leaving Chester standing in the glow of the flickering lights, watching her go with a mixture of amusement and regret.---Meanwhile, Moxxie was crouched behind a bush, frantically collecting small vials of fluids from the house-Ravi's blood, Chester's hair, even a sample of Bendy's ink. He worked quickly, knowing time was against them.
As Debbie caught up with him outside, she glanced at his little stash. "Nice work, Purple," she said with a grin. "Let's get out of here before they catch on."
Moxxie shot her a look. "Did you get the stuff from Chester's lab?"
Debbie hesitated for a split second before nodding. "Yeah, but it was mostly garbage. Nothing useful. Let's move."
Together, they disappeared into the night, leaving behind only the faint rustle of leaves as the heist came to a close.---Back at the laboratory, Brenson eagerly awaited their return, a sinister smile playing across his lips. Unbeknownst to them, the game had only just begun, and their enemies were much closer to the truth than they realized.
