The next morning, Ravi rolled out of bed with a groan, his body aching from the chaos of the last few days. He moved sluggishly, rubbing his neck as he got ready, throwing on the first clothes he could find.
Stumbling into the living room, he yawned loudly. "Morning, guys," he mumbled, barely awake.
Kai looked up from his plate of eggs, his hair a wild mess. "Hey, Ravs," he greeted casually, barely acknowledging Ravi as he tried to tame his bedhead. His eyes were still half-closed from sleep.
Mint, sprawled on the couch with a blanket thrown over her legs, let out an exaggerated groan. "Chester made us come here at 5AM, and none of us know why." He rubbed his temples like he had a hangover. "This better be good."
Before Mint could complain any further, Chester appeared, wheeling in a bulky projector and setting up a large board. He looked disturbingly chipper for this hour.
"Oh, you've got to be kidding me," CC grumbled, shooting Chester a death glare as he watched the elaborate setup unfold. The sheer enthusiasm on Chester's face made it worse.
Ravi sighed deeply, already suspecting what was coming next. Another conspiracy theory, no doubt. Chester had been obsessing over yesterday's events, and it looked like he was about to present his
Chester paced in front of the group like a detective on the verge of cracking a major case, the pointer in his hand waving dramatically. He clicked the projector again, switching to a close-up photo of Hayden and Hunter, smirking confidently while shaking hands with Brenson in front of a shiny new invention.
"You see this?!" Chester pointed accusingly at the screen. "This is exactly what I'm talking about! Hayden and Hunter-the dynamic duo of deception-always show up right when something big's about to happen. You know what else? They're practically Brenson's lackeys. Don't be fooled by their whole 'innocent unicorn' act. They work for him!"
Ravi, leaning back with his arms crossed, narrowed his eyes. "Chester, you can't just say that based on a couple of photos. You're acting like you have proof they're plotting against us-"
Chester cut him off, his voice rising. "Proof? How's this for proof? Every time these two show up, something goes missing. Files, inventions, even top-secret blueprints. And who ends up with them? Brenson. Coincidence? I don't think so."
Mint exchanged a glance with Bendy, eyebrows raised. "So, you're saying Hayden and Hunter steal inventions and hand them over to Brenson?"
Chester, now fully invested in his theory, clicked through more images. Each one showed Hayden and Hunter in various labs, surrounded by stolen ideas. "Why? Because they're professionals at sniffing out hidden information! It's their whole game. They cozy up to people, act like they're helping, and then bam-next thing you know, Brenson's got your entire operation in his hands. They've been doing this for years."
CC scratched his head, still skeptical. "That's pretty serious, Chess. You really think Hayden is just going to betray us once he joins the group?"
"Think about it, CC," Chester urged, his eyes wide with intensity. "We saw Hayden in the locket prediction. And I know you all saw it too-he's right there, standing in the background, like he's just waiting for his moment to strike. The locket doesn't lie. Hayden's gonna betray us, mark my words."
Ravi shook his head, trying to maintain his cool. "We all saw the locket, Chester. And yeah, Hayden was there, but that doesn't mean he's out to stab us in the back. For all we know, he's gonna be a crucial part of our team. The future's not set in stone."
Chester huffed, slamming the pointer down on the table. "You're not listening, Ravi. He works for Brenson! That's the only connection that matters! Unicorns like him? They can't be trusted under any circumstances. He's a sneaky little spy, just like Hunter, and they'll both end up wrecking everything we've built here."
