Episode 8

Let's continue from where we left off...

Jiwon noticed Yuri's silence. "Yuri, you're not eating. Is everything alright?"

Yuri forced a tight smile, masking the anger brewing inside her. "I'm fine, Mom." After that, she looked at Sol, who was busy finishing her meal.

"Sol, is there anything specific you like... hmmm... like cooking, traveling, reading, and all? Let me know; we can do it together like real sisters." Yuri smiled while using her sweet tone, hiding the bitterness. Sol, who was aware of her plans, decided to play along.

"Ohhh... yahhhhh... I have!" Sol agreed in a calm tone while the family members looked at her curiously.

"I... really... like... to... make... money," she said, smiling the same way as Yuri. "Any work that can give me money, I really like to do, except for crime." Sol looked at Chan, and after hearing her, Chan choked on his food. Sol immediately gave him water.

" Careful oppa"she wink at him , without anyone noticing and chan glared at her.
Yuri's blood boiling ,she was controlling herself.

"Haha... you are so funny! If you ask me, I really love cooking, playing the piano, and studying. I like to make my family proud," Yuri said proudly. Everyone looked at her with a smile.

"That's great! Hearing you reminds me of an incident when I was 11," Sol smirked, sipping her juice as the attention shifted from Yuri to Sol curiously.

"When I was 11, my family—I mean the Shin family—both parents didn't stay at home, and the maids weren't allowed to cook, so I had to learn to cook for myself. When the whole family found out, they forced me to cook. I did this before going to school and after coming home; I made meals for them. But you know what? In the Shin family, I was not treated as a family member but as an outsider. Back then, I couldn't understand my situation, but now it's crystal clear. Whatever, I'm going off point. So, where were we? Yeah... just like every day, it was a normal day.

That day, my older brother brought home a cute, adorable white Samoyed dog. Days passed, and that dog slowly became a member of the family. The Shin family loved that dog very much, but I was jealous of him. Every time I saw him, it irritated me. How could a mere dog fit into the family while I, who lived here, was unable to get along with them? Do you know what I did with that dog? Sol looked at Yuri, who shook her head without saying a word, and the others grew more curious and furious to know what happened next and how they treated her. Sol smirked and continued.....

Well, nothing happened that day. I cooked meat for them; they ate and went to their beds. However, the next day, my older brother couldn't find his dog. He searched everywhere, but there was no trace of the dog. In the end, he came to my room and saw one of my dolls, which I had prepared with new clothes. Without a second thought, he slapped me because the dress was made of his dog's epidermis (outer skin). He begged and asked me where his dog was. A few minutes later, our parents showed up, and the three of them started to ask the same question: "Yuri, do you have any idea where the dog might be?" Again, Sol looked at Yuri with her cold tone. Yuri gulped down her own saliva and shook her head to indicate no.

" The meat they ate last night was the meat of their own favorite dog. Yes... I killed... I killed that fucking dog and made a meal for them without hesitation, and with his skin, I made a dress for my doll. When they found out, they immediately went to the hospital. That was the last meal I made; after that, they banned me from cooking in their house." Sol finished while laughing loudly, remembering the memories, while Yuri couldn't utter a single word. Her hands were trembling.

"What happened, Yuri? Are you alright? You look pale," Sol asked in a concerned tone, and attention went to Yuri.

"Haha, nothing. Since this morning, I haven't been feeling well... I need to rest for a while, then I will be alright..." Yuri laughed awkwardly. Saying goodbye to her family, she headed upstairs.
