Han's POV

I just arrived in Korea. I don't enjoy the chaos of crowded streets and noisy people, but there was business to handle, and in this line of work, delays aren't an option. A shipment needed my attention, and then there was a deal—a delicate one with a man recovering in the hospital. The man refused to discuss terms over the phone, so I had no choice but to come here personally.

It had been months since I'd been in Seoul due to work, and it's finally finished. I'd been counting the hours to meet my new sister. When Chan hyung called to tell me about her, I didn't believe it at first. A lost sister? The idea felt absurd. But the photos he sent made it real, and I couldn't stop thinking about the family member I'd never known. I worked through my deals as fast as possible, tying up loose ends so I could make it home early.

But fate has its own twisted sense of humor.

I had just parked near the hospital, ready to head inside for the meeting, when I heard shouting. At first, I didn't pay it much attention. Hospital was full of drama-it wasn't my job to get involved. But something in the tone of the woman's voice caught my ear. It wasn't just anger; it was venomous, laced with hatred.

Against my better judgment, I turned to look.

That's when I saw her.

She was standing there, tears pooling in her wide eyes, her body stiff like she was trying not to shatter. A woman was gripping her hair, yelling so loud it echoed down the hospital. Around them, a crowd had gathered, gawking at the scene like it was some kind of street performance.

Sol.

I recognized her instantly. I'd seen photos of her before, sent by Felix, the ever-protective brother who couldn't stop talking about his "little sunshine." But this wasn't the confident, smiling girl I'd heard about. This was someone cornered, struggling to keep herself from breaking apart in front of a crowd of vultures. fighting to stay upright under the weight of humiliation.

My blood boiled as I took in the scene. A family was surrounding her like a pack of wolves, each one taking turns to rip her apart with their words. The mother, the father, the siblings-they were all the same, spewing bile like it was their second nature.

And she She stood there, small and fragile-looking, with her head bowed and tears pooling in her eyes. And then there was that woman, as she introduced herself-yelling at her, yanking her hair, and spewing venom like she owned the world.

I clenched my fists as I took in the scene. That wolf family surrounded her like predators, spitting words designed to wound. The crowd wasn't helping-they just stood there, whispering and staring, treating her humiliation like entertainment.

I stepped closer, my jaw tightening with every insult they hurled at her. The moment I heard that woman I know her name I recognise those are shin's demand she "pay them back," something inside me snapped.

Pay? For what? For the years of abuse they'd undoubtedly inflicted on her? For the life they stole from her while parading around like a perfect family? If they wanted payment, I'd give them something they'd never forget.

The bag of money was already in my car, meant for a deal I'd been handling earlier. Without a second thought, I grabbed it, walked straight to them, and threw it at their feet.

"Take the money," I said, my voice low but carrying enough weight to silence the entire scene. "And don't show your face to her again."

The Shin family froze, greed flickering in their eyes even as fear began to creep in. I didn't give them a chance to speak. The look in their eyes was satisfying-a mix of fear and greed. They hesitated, like the cowards they were, before scrambling to grab the bag. I ignored them, focusing on Sol.
