Baby girls, let me remind you of one thing: Saena is another personality of Sol. So, whenever I mention Saena, remember it's our Sol, but in Saena's form.
It was late at night, and Yuri sat alone in her room, her mind clouded by yesterday’s events. Sol’s words and her raw, painful confession echoed in Yuri’s thoughts. Despite the resentment she’d always felt, she couldn’t ignore the pain Sol had endured. A sense of conflict stirred within her—hadn’t Sol only wanted the family she was rightfully born into? If things had been different, maybe it would be Sol who had grown up here, loved and cherished from the start.
Just then, Bora, her personal maid and long-time nanny, entered. Bora had been with Yuri since she was a baby, a figure Yuri trusted more than anyone else in the household. But as Bora looked at Yuri with that familiar soothing gaze, a sharp, calculating glint lurked in her eyes.
Bora hid her true intentions well. Planted by her boss as a spy within the Kim household, her mission was simple: manipulate Yuri, keep her under control, and guide her actions subtly to benefit her boss's plans. Yuri, so easy to mold, had always looked up to her. And Bora had taken full advantage of this, using Yuri as a puppet, never letting her get too close to Sol, always sowing subtle seeds of jealousy. But now, seeing Yuri hesitate, showing sympathy toward Sol, was dangerous. This was slipping out of her control.
“Miss Yuri,” Bora began, her tone soothing, “you seem troubled. Is this about… Sol?”
Yuri hesitated, unsure. “She’s… I don’t know. She’s been through things, Bora.”
Bora took a step closer, her voice laced with quiet persuasion. “Yuri, remember, you’re the one who’s always been here, the one who has truly lived and been loved in this family. Sol might be their blood, but you’re the daughter they’ve raised. She’s just… someone who came back into their lives out of nowhere.”
Yuri’s expression faltered, Bora’s words worming their way into her mind. “But she’s the real daughter, Bora,” Yuri whispered, conflicted. “Doesn’t she deserve to belong?”
Bora’s voice grew more assertive. “You’re the one who deserves their love and loyalty. You’re the one they’ve raised and cared for all these years. Sol might have their blood, but that doesn’t make her family. It makes her… an outsider, taking everything you’ve known.”
For a moment, Yuri’s face hardened, the jealousy she’d buried deep surfacing. She almost felt justified—Sol was just a stranger who happened to share their blood.
Noticing Yuri’s shift, Bora smirked. She leaned in, the satisfaction in her gaze unmistakable. “Exactly, miss. You are the true daughter in spirit. Sol’s nothing but an intruder in your life.”
But then, Yuri remembered Sol’s face—broken, vulnerable, and human. The memory hit her hard, and she pulled back, shaking her head as she resisted Bora’s influence. “No, Bora. Sol is still family. She’s been through so much, and I can’t just turn my back on her pain.”
At that, Bora’s carefully constructed patience snapped. She couldn’t afford for Yuri to stray from her control. Anger twisted her face as she raised her hand, ready to strike Yuri and remind her who truly cared for her.
But before she could, the door opened. Sol stood there, her eyes widening as she took in the scene, her gaze locking onto Bora’s raised hand.
As the tension thickened in the room, Sol’s surprised gaze turned into a twisted, unsettling smirk. She took slow, deliberate steps toward Bora, who, without realizing it, had backed herself into the wall. Before she could react, Sol lunged forward, pinning her firmly against the cold surface. Bora crumpled to the floor in shock, clutching her shoulder, looking up at Sol—no, at someone else entirely. This wasn’t the quiet, meek girl she’d known. There was a fierce, menacing power in her eyes.
