" The way I'm so nervous you'd think this was my first time."Jan said as she kissed and helped me out of my reception dress.
"You're just as nervous as I am,"
I replied, feeling the anticipation building between us.
"But we've got this, right?"
"Absolutely,"
Jan said, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
"I can't believe we're finally here, just the two of us, after all the planning and stress of the wedding day."
With my reception dress finally shed, I felt a rush of exhilaration. The intimacy of the moment was palpable, and I reveled in the sweet, warm glow of our connection. Jan's touch sent shivers down my spine as she carefully unclasped the last of the fastenings.
"Wow, I can't believe how beautiful you look tonight,"
I said, admiring the simple yet gorgeous lingerie she had chosen. It was a soft lace that hugged her curves perfectly, highlighting everything I had longed to see.
"Thanks! But you have to know, I didn't pick this out just for the wedding night,"
she said playfully, biting her lip.
"I mean, it would have been a crime not to wear something special for the honeymoon!"
I laughed, feeling a mix of gratitude and joy.
"Well, it definitely worked. I can't wait to see what else you have in store for me."
As the last remnants of formality faded away with the wedding dresses, we finally felt free to be ourselves. The nervousness that had seemed to fill the air began to evaporate, replaced by a growing buzz of desire and excitement. There were no more parents or friends to think about — only us, in this moment. Jan stepped closer, the tension electric between us.
"Do you remember the last time we were together like this?"
I smirked, recalling the moment we had almost gotten caught sneaking into the resort pool late at night, laughter and adrenaline mixing as we splashed around in the dark.
"How could I forget? That was the literal calm before the storm of wedding planning."
" and now look at us,"
she whispered, leaning in closer.
"We're finally starting our life together."
Every word hung in the air as I looked deep into her eyes, the promise of our future together evident in the shared gaze. I reached up, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear, feeling the warmth of her skin under my fingers.
" Who would've thought, I famous for playing basketball and bedding different women every night would fall in love with a young new doctor and marry her."
Jan mentioned as she planted soft kisses down my neck.
" Please don't remind me of your reckless past."
," I said playfully, my heart racing at her touch. "I prefer to focus on our future now."
Jan paused, her kisses lingering just enough to make me miss them. She pulled back slightly, looking up at me with a teasing smile.
"Come on, you have to admit it's quite the transformation. From the court to the altar!"
"True,"
I conceded, raising an eyebrow.
"but I have to say it's a transition I wouldn't change for anything. You make me want to be a better woman."
Her eyes softened, and she brushed her thumb across my cheek.
" you've already done that. You've shown me so much love and support through everything. There's no one else I'd rather embark on this journey with."
My heart swelled with emotion, as I spoke from the bottom of my heart. With that, she leaned in, her lips finding mine in a tender kiss. The sweetness of the moment enveloped us both, a perfect counterpoint to the fervor building inside. Her body pressed against mine, igniting a warmth that traveled through me like wildfire.
"Let's celebrate our new beginning,"
she whispered against my lips.
"Absolutely,"
I breathed, feeling emboldened by her closeness and the promise of the night ahead. Taking her hand, I led her toward the spacious room bathed in soft, flickering candlelight. The atmosphere was intimate and inviting, much like our shared emotions. I pulled her to me once more, letting the world outside fade away as we lost ourselves in each other. As we took a moment to catch our breath, the reality of what lay ahead surged through me, and I felt invigorated. This was our time, our honeymoon, and we were ready to embrace every second of it.
