Grace sat with Derek, Meredith, and Alex are having dinner.
" No, I just ... I just want to say, I'm really excited about the clinical trial. I've been reading in the "New England journal of medicine"... " derek said as grace smiled at her husband
Alex looks at Meredith, knowing she tampered with it somehow. Grace saw the look between them and frowned as she felt a twinge in her side
"Gracie are you okay" Derek asked as he looked to his wife
"I'm fine" Grace said as she frowned to herself unsure how she felt over the pain

Grace stood in the hospital the next day as Alex stood presenting the case
"This is Zola. She's 6 months old, born with spina bifida ... Adorable African children, shameless ego stroking... " Alex said as grace stood at the Back of the crowd.
" Karev is a genius. " April said
"Yeah, he's single-handedly stealing chief resident out from under all of us, and we're helping him do it. I mean, we can't exactly refuse to treat little sick kids without making ourselves look bad. " jackson said
"Oh, he is a genius. Or... That's what they say in Swahili." Lexie said
"Grace are you okay" Bella asked. She could see that Grace didn't seem herself
"It's the baby they've pushing onto every organ I have. I don't feel too good"
"You have what five weeks left" Bella asked
"Six" grace said as she placed a hand on her bump. She knew as hard as it seemed she felt as if she was waiting for something to go wrong like she always did
"Well, he only has a shot because I've been benched. The playing field has been leveled. You're all welcome. " cristina said as bella rolled her eyes
"Don't be a sore loser yang" Bella said
"My Alzheimer's trial kicks African-orphan ass. It kicks all of your asses. " meredith said
"Do you want to keep it down back there? I'm trying to listen to what appears to be the next chief resident talking. " Richard said
"Before we go, I just want to say thank you to all of you for your participation. It, uh, truly means more than I could say." Alex said as grace rolled her eyes
"Kiss ass"
"Slow clap. They're giving him the slow clap." Cristina said
"Come on. I'm not giving him the slow clap. Ridiculous." Jackson said as grace nodded

Derek and Alex walk into Zola's room with James
Zola is crying non-stop.
" Makena? Hi, I'm Dr. Shepherd. Of course, you know Dr. Karev. This is dr Montgomery We're here to take a look at Zola today. Uh, sometimes babies with spina bifida can develop Chiari malformation. It causes fluid build-up in the brain. It could be pretty uncomfortable, but sometimes, if you adjust the patient's head position... It helps relieve the pressure." Derek said
