Grace stood in the vets. She looked to doc and smiled. She knew that he was sick and she was worried. She looked to Meredith who stood talking with the vet. She smiled. She knew how Meredith was getting close to Finn but she knew how Finn was not the one Meredith wanted
"Can I use your phone I want to call derek and let him know" grace asked Finn
"Are you sure that is a good idea" Meredith asked as grace rolled her eyes as she looked to her sister
"It's his dog too" grace said as she rang derek.
"Hello? Hi."
"It's me. Im at the vet am I interrupting" she asked
"No, no, no, no, no. It's about Doc. " she heard hun say
"Are you there" Grace asked as it went quiet
"Yeah. No, I'm here."
"Good look I have to head into work can you pick him up" grace asked
"Yeah, I can pick him up this morning. "
"Let meL nod how he is" grace said
"Sure. Bye. No. Come on." Derek said as Addison was suddenly at the other side of the phone
". Dandridge. Dr. Dandridge. I...We're gonna have to call you back. We're trying really hard to have some decent sex here." She said as grace stood there. She didn't know what to say.
Grace was in shock. She was struggling with being dereks friend and the thought of him and addison having sex did not fill her with haply thoughts. She knew it made her feel jealous
Grace hung up the phone as she looked to Meredith who looked to her and frowned
"Are you okay" Meredith asked as grace smiled and nodded. She knew Meredith views in derek and she felt awkward enough without explaining it to her sister
"Everything ok?" Finn asked her as she nodded
"Yeah. Everything's great. Hey, Doc. You look good. He looks good. " grace said
"It may just be a virus. But I'd like to wait until we get the blood tests and the x-ray results back before I say anything for sure. " Finn said
"So he can go home today? Cause Derek says he can pick him up. " grace said
"He can go home. Finn said
"You hear that, Doc? You can go home. " Meredith said
"So you and Derek, uh...you're together?" He asked Meredith
"No that's east him and grace" Meredith said
:Uh...Uh, Derek and I are, um, just friends. He's married and I'm knitting a sweater. And, uh, well, I guess I'm rambling, which I tend to do a lot of lately, and I wish somebody would just tell me to shut up. But my point is...yeah, we're...uh...He's married and I'm knitting a sweater." Grace said
"So you're single" finn asked Meredith
"Single. " Meredith said as grace glanced around feeling awkward
