Grace walked into the care home with Meredith and looked to see Ellis as she sat in the corner

"I don't even know why I came she doesn't even know me, she thinks I'm you the daughter she's proud of" grace said as Meredith looked to her sister and rolled her eyes

"she doesn't mean it" Meredith said as grace rolled her eyes

"yes she does"   

"look we need to Sort this and then we have to head to work she's our mother and I'm getting my first shot of heart surgery this morning" Meredith said as grace sighed

"what I'd give to cut into a brain about now" grace said

"nothing to do with mcdreamy and your one night stand is it" Meredith asked as grace frowned, she knew her sister and she know how overprotective she was and she was glad Meredith didn't know how she and Derek were together and still seeing each other, she knew that she couldn't tell Meredith yet as she knew how she'd react to it all

"no it's nothing to do with that" grace said as Meredith raised an eyebrow at her as the care home manager walked over to them

"your here good. I wanted to talk to you both over your mother. The lawyer has been managing the estate with a limited power of attorney, but your mother's Alzheimer's is advancing. So, while she's still lucid enough to consent, she needs to sign everything over to you" she said

"Me?" Meredith asked as grace rolled her eyes

"of course I knew I didn't have to be here"

"actually it's both of you"

"Look, I haven't slept in 48 hours. I'm getting my first shot at heart surgery this morning. I'm missing rounds. Are you sure there isn't anybody here, or the attorney...? I mean, do I really have to be the one to handle this?" Meredith asked as grace sat watching Ellis

"We're talking about her estate, her finances, her medical care. You really want to leave her life in someone else's hands? She's your mother" the care taker asked as grace scoffed

"trust me if you knew our mother you'd understand" grace said

Grace sat in the gallery as she sat watching Meredith in heart surgery as bella sat next to her and smiled

"you okay you were gone early" bella said as grace smiled

"yeah I had to be somewhere" grace said

"I wish I could hold a heart" George said

"A monkey could hold a heart" cristina said

"yeah where's alex when you need him" grace said

"You're mad Burke didn't ask you" George said to Cristina

"George, I need more ice and chips" Izzie said

"Who else did you invite?" Georgie asked

"Izzie, we said the list was jocks only. Surgery, Trauma, Plastics. Who else?" Cristina said
