As I wrote this chapter , I realised that writing such kinds of scenes is a bit difficult for me and I need to learn a lot in that.
Still I tried my best , I hope you all like it. Please give me your reviews. But still I would accept the positive criticism as I would help me to improve.
And and and I am updating, not because the target is achieved, but just you ppl are cute and I love you all a lot.
And as much as I hate to say , I'll miss you all a lot too 🥹------
"But bhai—" Before he could finish, Mom interrupted him. "Stop it, Kiaan! Can't you see he is hurt? I am sorry, Kabir. I didn't want to break your heart, but it was really important. I need to make sure that the girl my son loves is worthy of it." She sighed, holding my face gently in her hands, but I could see the lie dipping from her voice , feeling a wave of disgust wash over me as I pushed her away with a jerk, before grabbing the divorce papers tightly in my hands."You are right, Mom. Some women these days aren't worthy of trust or love at all," I said when the mom slided a pen to sign on the papers while her hand was on my back, trying to console me.
"But she is not just any woman;" I said putting the pen aside before continuing,"she is my woman, my love, my Ira—my entire existence. She never even glanced at money when it comes to her loved ones" I finished my sentence, and in the next moment, I tore the papers in half, my pain spilling over.
I ripped them into smaller pieces and set them on fire, watching as the flames consumed them, making Mom shout in anger.
"What the hell is wrong with you, Kabir?" she shouted, her voice filled with frustration.
"Everything is right with me, Mom, but nothing is going to be right with you after some time until I find my Ira. And after that, your countdown begins because I know whatever is happening, you definitely have a hand in it." I said looking at her when for a moment all of the colours of her face changed before she composed herself again.
"If you really think you can fool me about my wife with just some signatures and papers, then I applaud your foolishness, Mom. But let me tell you, the relationship between a husband and wife isn't that weak," I said with determination, locking eyes with her.
"You won't be able to find her!" Mom shouted, her voice rising with anger.
"Oh, I promise I will find her. Just be ready to pay for all your sins and welcome my wife here before tomorrow's sunrise because the moment I uncover the whole truth behind this, I will make sure every single person involved pays for any pain my wife endures."
------
I stepped out of the mansion and immediately called the commissioner, urging him to search for my wife. She hasn't even reached Ranchi yet, and I have no idea where she is.
Her phone keeps getting engaged, but it hasn't been switched off, and the fact that neither Ansh nor Shraddha Aunty is answering my calls is only heightening my anxiety. I just hope they are both okay.
When Rajat uncle finally picked up my call, I was seething with anger. He acted completely unaware of the situation, but I had a gut feeling that he was involved in whatever was happening. If that turns out to be true, I swear I won't even listen to Ira.
I banged my fist against the steering wheel in desperation as the commissioner informed me that the location of Ira's phone was in Shimla, very close to our mansion.
