"Sixty-nine, seventy! Come on, bro, do them quickly, otherwise you won't finish your sit-ups by tomorrow!" Kiaan said teasing while hanging onto Kabir's shoulders. However, instead of a playful response, he received a death glare.
"Look, Bhabhi, he's glaring at me," Kiaan innocently pointed out, looking at Aadhira who was still upset with Kabir for making her drink palak ka juice in the evening.
[A/N - guys I am sorry but your author don't know what to call "palak ka juice" in English]
"Stop glaring at my baby," she defended Kiaan.
"Baby?!" Kabir exclaimed, unable to believe his ears. His eyes widened as he continued, "Who's the baby here?"
"Kiaan, he's like my baby, just like Ansh," she explained simply shrugging of her shoulders non chalantaly.
"Are you serious Aadhira ? Ye ghode jaisa insaan tmhe baby dikh rha hai" (Are you serious, Aadhira? You think this horse-like person is your baby?) Kabir retorted.
"I guess we went to the wrong doctor. Maybe we should have seen an eye specialist too," Kabir commented, glancing at Aadhira.
"Wait, are you saying my eyes are weak?" she replied, narrowing her eyes at him.
"No, no, ma'am, that's not what I meant at all. I was just saying that I wish I were deaf so I wouldn't have heard what you said a few seconds ago, at least," he replied sarcastically, his face showing a pissed-off expression. Meanwhile, Kiaan was struggling to hold back his laughter, afraid that time his bhabhi might even not be able to protect him from his brother if he burst out laughing.
"Come on, Kabir, he's just a kid. Why are you getting so annoyed?" Aadhira tried to calm him down.
"Accha, okay, I'm sorry," Kabir replied, choosing not to argue with Aadhira. He gave a side-eye to Kiaan and muttered under his breath, "God knows from which angle he looks like a kid."
"Excuse me, Mr. First, talk to me," Kiaan said, poking his index finger into Kabir's biceps to get his attention. He continued, "I am not ghode jaisa , it's you , meri to abhi shaadi bhi nhi hui"( I'm not horse-like, it's you! I haven't even gotten married yet) Kiaan interrupted.
"Aur jaisi harkatein hai , kbhi hone bhi nhi vali" (And with your behavior, it's never going to happen,) Kabir snapped back.
"Aapki ho gyi to meri bhi ho hi jaegi" ( If it can happen to you, then it can happen to me too) Kiaan replied, narrowing his eyes at Kabir.
"Don't you think you're speaking too much?" Kabir replied, raising an eyebrow to assert his elder brother supremacy.
"And don't you think you're doing it too slow? Thoda jaldi karo, abhi Doraemon bhi dekhna hai. Late ho gaya toh naye episodes nikal jayenge," Aadhira said in the middle of the conversation while munching on her apple.
"Accha mate, kar raha hu," Kabir said, surrendering to her dramatically, which made her burst into a small laugh. It was enough to make him smile too.
"Abb... correction... it's devi mate," Kiaan said again, only to receive a death glare from his brother and a warning as he gritted his teeth in frustration, whispering to him "Tu beta ruk , batata hu tujhe abhi baad m (you just wait , I will see you afterwards) "
