AADHIRA'S POV:-

My sleep breaks because of the noise coming from the bathroom. I open my eyes and stretch my arms, relaxing them, resting my head behind the board of the bed. I eye the clock to see the time.

And my eyes widen in realization. "It's 7:30"?

SHIT!!!

Oh no, I didn't wake up earlier. Usually by this time, I have already woken up and given dadi her morning tea. Maybe I slept this late because of the comfort of the bed after so many days. I think to myself

Or the comfort of his arms, my brain mocked

I checked my phone to see why my alarm didn't ring and realized that someone had already turned it off. Ugh, Kabir! I scrunch my eyes shut with irritation at the realization. I quickly get out of bed and make my way to freshen up, but just as I move towards the bathroom, I suddenly bump into someone, probably my Mr. Husband, as his smell instantly gives him away. Oh, how cute it sounds. But this time, it only feels annoying because I need to be very quick.

And just like that, he's lightning fast, swooping in to catch me before I hit the ground. I slowly open my eyes, but as soon as I see him, I freeze. He's standing there in nothing but a towel, his chiseled abs on full display. My heart skips a beat as I try to swallow the lump in my throat, feeling my cheeks turn crimson.

His fingers, icy to the touch, send shivers down my spine as he steadies me. His damp, tousled hair and water droplets falling on my face create an electrifying moment. I close my eyes, savoring the sensation of the water droplet on my skin, breaking our intense eye contact. He gently guides me to stand upright, and we find ourselves locked in a silent gaze . But now the room is filled with an awkward silence.

"Umm... good morning," I said, trying to drive off the awkwardness that was lingering in the air.

"Good morning, Mrs. Kabir," he replied, his bright smile lighting up the room.

"Why did you turn off my alarms?" I asked, knitting my brows and giving him a playful scoff.

"I thought you wanted to sleep more," he replied nonchalantly, grabbing a towel to dry off his upper body.

"Noo! Because of your so-called thoughts and sweet gesture, now I need to work at the speed of light to finish all my tasks," I replied in a hurry, quickly rolling my messy hair into a bun making my way to bathroom.

"Ooh, sorry," he replied, his nervous smile revealing his pearly whites.

"Wait," he said, catching me off guard as he gently held my arm just above my elbow. I turned with a jerk, my breath caught in my lungs at his sudden action , our bodies inches apart from colliding each other.

"I'll order breakfast today, so you don't have to stress. Okay?" he said, a wave of relief washing over me.

"Okay," I replied, my face breaking into a wide smile that reached my eyes.

"Now you can go and relax, my speed of light," he chuckled, releasing his grip on my hand.

I couldn't help but giggle in response, at his gesture.

KABIR'S POV

"Okay, I'm all done now. I'm about to head out," I say after finishing my breakfast.

"And Kiaan, make sure you have all your cards in place. I might need them today," I instruct Kiaan.

"Sure thing, bhai," he replies.
