I re-dipped my paintbrush in the thick paint before gliding it across the canvas."And then that was it?" Chanel asked once again.
I finished chewing the piece of banana bread in my mouth, "That was it, then I just went, got my stuff and left," I explained.
"That sucks bro, like big time," Myles added as he took another bite of banana bread.
Even though I'm extremely upset about everything and just want to crawl in a hole and die, I still promised Chanel and Myles I'd do the banana bread and sip.
Which for the most part was relieving.
We all went in a circle explaining highlights from our day and catching each other up.
Even Myles mom was participating with us.
"I say both of them are red flags," Myles' mom jetted in, placing another pan of banana bread on the counter.
"Yeah," I sighed, twirling my paintbrush in the cloudy water.
I double tapped my phone again for what seemed like the thousandth time to only find an empty lock screen.
I was expecting an apology already or something.
Maybe Hayley was right.
"This batch has some glaze on the side that you can add to it," she said before sitting back at the counter to work on her painting.
"The glaze is the best part," Chanel said, grabbing the spoon to drizzle some on her bread.
"It's a fan favorite," she joked, cutting a slice of the bread, "Now, this girl goes to your school?"
And we all awkwardly sat in silence waiting for one of us to answer the question.
Which I guess was me, "No, she's at Richwood for this program I'm enrolled in," I immediately came up with on the spot.
"And it's at Richwood?" she questioned, obviously confused.
I nodded, coating my paintbrush in green, "The school said Richwood was hosting the program because there weren't enough sign ups at Evergreen, so I have to go there instead."
She nodded, "Sad that you have to accommodate them," she replied, "What's the program?"
"It's for like... design." I replied hesitatingly.
I think I saved that.

The next couple days have been overall uneventful, mostly because I haven't gone to Richwood since Wednesday, and it was currently Friday.
I was internally debating going.
Because on one hand the haunted house needed to be done in less than eight school days, and I couldn't rely on Lucas, Hayley or Pearl to do it on their own accord.
But on the other hand, Corey was at school.
And I wasn't in the mood.
But at the same time i'm going to have to go back someday, might as well use this time to work on the haunted house.
I tiredly did my morning routine and got ready for what I hoped would be an extremely uneventful day at school. I did one final once over of my appearance which was really simple, considering that I didn't even want to go today.
I had my curly hair down today, not bothering to put any makeup on, a simple outfit which consisted of brown cargo shorts, a green and white hockey jersey and some all white shoes.
