"I've learned to live in the space you left behind, and now, it doesn't feel so empty anymore."
It surprised her how long it had been since she last cried over him. She had stopped counting the days, stopped holding onto the pain like it was the only thing connecting them. Work had been keeping her busy, and she had found a new rhythm — one that didn't revolve around waiting for him to come back.
But in the quiet moments, especially late at night, her mind still wandered. She would dream of him sometimes, dreams where they were together again, his presence warm and comforting. But when she woke, the ache in her chest wasn't as sharp as it used to be. She was learning to live with the memories, even if they still stung at times.
However, she still couldn't stop thinking about who the unknown man was who chased her one more time since she was in the store. It was strange. Every time he was supposed to appear somewhere nearby, her fingers tingled, her ears squealed, and finally the cat again.
She didn't know if she should contact Ann again, whose number she had deleted a long time ago. She hadn't even seen Arisu or Kuina for a long time. It seemed as if everyone had stopped trying to figure out what really happened, or what was really going on.
