Isabella followed behind Mikha as they drove to the Press household. She stayed behind the car because she was just getting used to her motorcycle and wanted to ensure that nothing bad happened to the girls.
She wore her helmet, which muffled some of the motorcycle's sounds as she cruised behind. For a moment, she enjoyed the time she had for herself and appreciated the sound of her engine.
On the other hand, in the car, it was the opposite of quiet. Since Isabella wasn't in the car with them, the girls took it as a chance to berate Mikha with questions.
"So, ano yun?" (So, what was that?) Colet opened the conversation after the mini-eye push that they gave each other.
Sheena huffed and folded her arms. "Kilala mo pala sina Isabella at Michelle, hindi mo man lang kami ininform after namin magfangirl at magrant sayo na ang ganda nila?" (You apparently know Isabella and Michelle, but you didn't even inform us after we fangirl and rant about how beautiful they are.)
"Maganda naman talaga siya eh... I mean sila," Mikha caught herself at the last minute, realizing what she had said. (She really is beautiful... I mean they.)
Aiah, who was sitting on the passenger's seat, gav e her a side-eye before glancing back in front. "You ha, you're keeping secrets."
Mikha sighed, knowing that she had a lot of explaining to do. "Okay, Isabella and I go way back-"
"Wait, pause ka muna," Stacey interrupted the driver, bringing her phone out. "Tawagan ko muna si Jhoanna." (Wait, pause first. I will call Jhoanna first.)
"I'm not in the mood to tell the story anymore," Mikha teased, slumping on her seat as she took the turn. They were only a few blocks away from The Press Estate.
"STAKU KASI!" Gwen whined, also wanting to know what was going on.
"Ih! Kasi naman-"
"MIKHA LIM! ITULOY MO NA YUN KWENTO!" Jhoanna's voice beamed in the car. "WALA NA NGA AKO DIYAN EH!" (MIKHA LIM! CONTINUE THE STORY! I'M NOT THERE ALREADY EH!)
Sheena cackled loudly, leaning her head back as she clapped her hands. "COKE PA MORE!"
Mikha sighed, shaking her head with a soft laugh. "Fine, I've known Tita Mitch since the end of time. She's my Ninang. My parents and Tita Mitch have been best friends ever since because the Lims and the Yangs go way back."
"... and you and Isabella?" Aiah asked what they were all thinking. "Something going on between you two?"
The redhead sighed. "We're best friends, soulmates, basically attached to the hips since birth. It's just hard because we live halfway across the world."
They all looked at each other, feeling like there was something more but not wanting to push Mikha further. She's not a person who opens up; they were just thankful they got those pieces of information from her.
