Just as Mrs. Kim had warned, Jin was late. He dashed down the road, barely looking where he was going. His heart was racing as he thought about how he would explain himself to the teacher, especially knowing how hard it was for him to speak up. But before he could even think about excuses, he suddenly found himself almost colliding with a speeding car.

The moment seemed to slow down, and for a split second, Jin’s heart stopped. But before the car could get anywhere near him, Jungkook, ever vigilant, flicked his finger, and the car was gently pushed away, as if by some unseen force. Jin didn’t notice the near-miss, but Jungkook’s heart pounded in his chest.

That was too close...

Jin continued to run, oblivious to how close he had come to disaster. He bumped into a woman along the way, sending her groceries flying. He stopped, panicking.

"I... I’m sorry! I—"

Jungkook, watching from above, couldn’t help but smile as he subtly guided the scattered items back into the woman’s arms, making it easier for Jin to help her.

"Thank you, young man," the woman said gratefully, her voice warm.

Jin flashed her a nervous smile, nodded, and took off again, his thoughts racing as fast as his feet. He was too introverted to even know how to explain why he was late, let alone muster the courage to speak in front of the whole class.

"What am I going to say? What excuse can I give?" Jin thought as he ran. "Ican’t just walk in and say I almost got hit by a car..."

Meanwhile, Jungkook hovered above him, shaking his head in amusement. Jin’s constant stumbles and near accidents kept him on edge, but something about watching him try—always doing his best, despite everything—made Jungkook want to protect him all the more.

Jin's heart raced as he hurried into the classroom, mentally scrambling to come up with some excuse for his tardiness. ''Maybe I could say the traffic was bad... No, what if they ask for details? Ugh..." He sighed, fully expecting to face the teacher’s annoyed expression.

But when he arrived, to his surprise, the teacher still wasn’t there. Jin blinked, confused but relieved. "Wait... the teacher isn't here yet?"

He let out a small sigh of relief, trying to hide the giddy smile forming on his lips. He quickly made his way to his seat, plopping down with a quiet exhale. "Thank goodness..." He barely had a moment to relax before the classroom door swung open, and the teacher finally walked in.

Jin couldn't help but find the timing a bit odd. That was weird... But he shrugged it off, happy that for once, he wasn't caught in an awkward situation.

Outside, Jungkook hovered, arms crossed and grinning to himself. He had subtly delayed the teacher just long enough to give Jin a moment to slip into the classroom unnoticed.

You're welcome, he thought with a small chuckle.

As the class continued, Jin sat at his desk, staring at the math problems on the board. The teacher was looking around for someone to answer and if anyone needed any help or she will start asking.

Jin's eyes glazed over as the numbers started to blur together. He shifted uncomfortably in his seat, knowing he didn’t have the courage to raise his hand and ask for help.

Jungkook, perched invisibly on top of the cabinet at the back of the room, watched Jin with a sympathetic smile. He could see the way Jin fidgeted with his pencil, clearly lost but too shy to admit it.

Maybe I can help... Jungkook thought.

With a subtle flick of his finger, Jungkook made the pencil in Jin’s hand draw a small hint on the edge of his notebook. Jin blinked, glancing down at his page and noticing the faint numbers scribbled there. Confused, he quickly looked around, but no one seemed to be paying attention to him. He squinted at the numbers, then back at the board.
