As the class finally ended, Jungkook found himself in a bit of a dilemma. He wanted to start a conversation with Jin, but after the surprise of seeing him here, he wasn’t sure how to approach it without seeming too eager. However, he was beyond pleased with how things had turned out—sitting so close to Jin, being able to see him up close.
His smile never left his face, and although the girls in the class couldn't stop looking at him and whispering, he paid them no mind. His attention was entirely fixed on Jin.
Jungkook didn't even bother to hide the fact that he was staring, eyes glued to Jin's every movement. The way Jin shifted uncomfortably, the way his ears started turning red—it was all too cute. He could see Jin getting more and more flustered with each passing second, especially with how obvious Jungkook was being.
Jin, on the other hand, didn’t know how to handle the situation. He could feel Jungkook’s intense gaze on him, and it was making his face heat up uncontrollably. Why is he staring at me like that? Jin thought, trying to focus on packing up his things but failing miserably. His hands fumbled with his bag, cheeks burning as he tried to pretend he didn’t notice.
Finally, unable to bear the tension anymore, Jin glanced up at Jungkook, catching him mid-stare.
"Wh-what? Why are you looking at me like that?" Jin stammered, his voice a bit shaky.
Jungkook's smile widened as he leaned in just slightly, his voice low but playful.
"Because you’re the only one worth looking at... Jin."
Jin's face turned a deeper shade of red, his heart skipping a beat at the way Jungkook said his name. He didn’t know how to respond to that, so he quickly looked away, trying to hide his embarrassment.
Jungkook, however, was absolutely thrilled, watching Jin’s adorable reaction, his heart swelling with a sense of victory. He didn't even care about all the attention he was getting from the other students. The only thing that mattered was Jin, and right now, that flustered expression was all the reward he needed.
"You're adorable." Suddenly, Jungkook whispered.
Jin blinked, still flustered from Jungkook’s earlier comment. Adorable? Me? The thought alone was enough to make him want to hide. He barely had time to recover when Minyung approached, his usual friendly smile directed toward Jungkook.
"Hello there, new guy, Minyung here. Nice to meet you." Minyung greeted him, offering a handshake.
Jungkook, who had been grinning moments ago, suddenly felt his smile tighten. He kept his expression soft but distant as he shook Minyung’s hand.
"Nice to meet you too." Jungkook replied, his tone polite but with a subtle coldness that only Jin could pick up on.
Jin felt the shift immediately. He glanced nervously between the two, feeling a strange tension in the air. Why does it feel like something’s off? He thought, but then again, it could just be his nerves.
Minyung, however, seemed oblivious to the shift in the atmosphere and continued chatting.
"So, Jungkook, where did you transfer from?" he asked casually.
Jungkook’s gaze flicked briefly to Jin before responding.
"Busan."
"Ah, cool! So, have you had a chance to check out the campus yet? If you want, I can show you around after class." Minyung offered, his tone friendly and welcoming, though Jungkook could feel the subtle hint of something else in the way he spoke, like an attempt to be closer to Jin.
Jungkook’s eyes darkened for a brief moment, though he kept his expression calm.
"Thanks, but I already have plans." Jungkook said, his voice firm as he shifted his body slightly, almost possessively, closer to Jin.
