a'ight, a'ight, sit down, homies, let your wicked dawg tell ya a story about how i came ta be with you today! now hold on a sec, yeah? how's every good story begin? wit "once upon a time..."

It seemed like so long ago now that Sans hadn't even seen it coming. That thing, Wicked... just appeared one day, and Alphys had started to act strange. How could he have known that it had taken over the good doctor's body? All he was was a patient of hers. A monster who produced more magic than he could handle. He'd thought that he was the crazy one, with his violent urges to attack the residents of Snowdin and his fly baby bro. Sans couldn't have none of dat, so he started going to see Dr. Alphys to get his urges under control. But as Sans heelied on in this time, it was different. Her eyes were strange, red with yellow slits. She gave Sans something of a hungry smile. She was wearing a Mew Mew Kissy Cutie croptop today and her favorite high waisted jeans. Her lab coat sleeves were rolled up... but something was off. "alph...?" Sans instincts screamed for him to run as the larger predator lunged at him with a roar.

Sans never went back after that. Not to Hotland. He tried to go to New Home. Warn the king. "somethin' wack is going on, the doc wasn't cool at all!" Sans tried, but the king reassured him. "I dig the concern, Sans. I'll check on our dear Dr. Alphys personally." Sans smiled in relief, even if his soul was screaming that it was a terrible idea and no monster should go near the dragonic monster. "just be careful, top dawg." Sans clenched his teeth and shoved down the urge to attack him. It seemed time was up for Sans. Without Dr. Alphys, it was only a matter of time before he lost his cool completely. "i gotta peace out, but see ya on the flipside, yeah?" Sans wheeled on out in his heelies before taking a shortcut home. "i'm home, broski!" Sans called as he tossed himself into the couch. "SANS!" Papyrus rushed down the steps, his tail going a mile a minute as he went to hug his brother. Sans quickly put a stop to this, giving his bro the hand.

Papyrus didn't like this. Dr. Alphys? Sick? While he was aware that that happened- it could not be helped- the timing was not good. His brother had to distance himself until Dr. Alphys was better! He didn't like when his brother had to distance himself. So, Papyrus placed it upon himself to help Dr. Alphys feel better. The lab was dark, though. Quiet... Papyrus could smell that it had been a few hours since she had been on the first floor. He found her dust in the True Lab, surrounded by the melted goop of... well, he didn't know. He also found the scent of Asgore within the lab and on her remains... but the king would never kill his subjects... right? Papyrus had to mobilize the guard and tell Undyne of what had become her soulmate. For now, though, Alphys needed a proper dusting ceremony. They would get to the bottom of what was happening! Papyrus whimpered as he swept up her dust into a bag for now. A small, selfish part of him couldn't help but wonder what would become of his brother now? Dr. Alphys was the only one who could suppress his instincts. This was so not cool.

The days passed. Grillby had insisted that Papyrus stay home with Sans, just in case his instinctive behavior grew worse. They kept up with what was happening on the news though. Sans paced the room while Papyrus listened to his soulmate broadcast live from the capital. The guard had went in to question the king on what happened to Dr. Alphys. Then crap hit the fan. Before anyone knew it, a gnarly fire ravaged the castle. The Captain of the Royal Guard was buggin' out. Monsters screamed and fled and neither brother could begin to understand as Grillby left the castle, his flames flickering blue, red, and yellow. The fire that served as his eyes were nothing more than mere slits. That wasn't the most disturbing part, though. "there was something in him..." Sans growled uneasily, stepping away from the television. "What?" Papyrus asked as he looked uneasily at Sans. "something is making them like this, bro... something dangerous." Sans shook his head and retreated up the stairs to his room. Papyrus didn't know what Sans saw, but he knew his father never would've attacked people and burned down the castle with monsters inside.

Before they knew it, the entire Underground had broken down. Without the king, the queen, or the guard to do anything, the parasite kept jumping from host to host until it killed them, draining the monster of its magic. The host would go insane and kill everything in sight. In Asgore, it killed the guard, but the Fire Elemental wouldn't die, so it took him over. Then he slaughtered the entirety of New Home. Then it took over the reporter, Mettaton, and slaughtered all of Hotland. Then I took over Undyne and slaughtered all of Waterfall. Papyrus had come in just as Undyne's soul was about to give out. Papyrus got to see it for what it really was, before it latched onto him. He killed all of Snowdin before it found the host it was looking for. Comic Sans. Sans didn't let it transfer though, not right away. His instincts were strong. He FLED before they had the chance and it had Papyrus finish off the rest off the Underground before his soul gave out on it. There was nothing left, by the time Wicked got to Sans. They were the perfect match. Wicked sucked away all that extra magic and Sans tamed out.

but what's the point when there was nobody to befriend anymore?
