There wasn't a speck of dust in the Underground when you fell down. You assumed there would at least be cave dust, but nope. Still, you adjusted your [F/C] mask. One could never be too careful. Having been born with respiratory issues, your mom had sort of passed on her need to be over cautious with you had passed down to you after her passing. Masks, inhalers, medication... nothing outside of home seemed safe. They one time you tried to do something for yourself and went hiking with your friend, Savannah, and you ended up falling down a hole to stars knows where. Oh, and surprise, surprise, your phone broke in the fall. As if the day couldn't get any worse... you had no choice but to keep going forward. The structures were man-made past the flower room, with some sort of shrine in every room. Froggits. Whimsums. Moldsmals. Vegetiods. You wondered what they were, what they were for. You passed switches and floors with holes in it - they made you uneasy. What were they for? The last room had a dead tree and a house, one last shrine with the name Toriel on it. You wondered if the house was hers as you knocked with a gloved hand.

At the house, you ate and waited for Toriel to return. Surely she would understand your situation if you explained yourself to her? Maybe she would even help you out! At least you had an inhaler and some of your medication with you to tide you over until you got home. It wasn't a few hours before you heard a clicking sound on the stairs. You had rehearsed what you were going to say over and over in your head, and was ready to spit it out as soon as she reached the top of the stairs, but the words shriveled up and died on your tounge when you saw... him. A skeleton in a blue and gold hoodie with a red polo shirt and purple basketball shorts. His shades gave away his curiosity, spelling out "...OH?" He tilted his skull with an unsettlingly blank grin, a silver canine glinting in the light. "sup, human. didn't think we'd be makin' a friend so soon. hope you're liking the crib." You blinked at him. WHY DID HE LOOK AND SOUND LIKE HE WAS STUCK IN THE 90'S?!

His name was Wicked. That was what he told you. He was a monster. The last monster. The rest... died. He said it was from a parasite, but it wasn't a problem anymore. Wicked was kind, if not a little off, and weird. He didn't understand why you wanted to get home so quickly but offered his assistance regardless. Thus, you were walking through Snowdin town now. There were more of those shrines with names on them. You decided to ask. "Are those the graves? Of the others?" Wicked's shades said all you needed to know, spelling out, "CORRECT!" "Do you ever miss them?" You asked, and Wicked stopped, his grin unsettling you once more as you looked back at him. His shades had gone dark as he answered you. "nah, homie. i can't feel anything." He took off his shades, revealing a blue creature latched onto a cracked, upside-down soul. In the other socket was a red eyelight with a golden slit. "it comes with the package of bein' a parasite. feels are unradical." Wicked slipped his shades back on, the magical items spelling out, "WILD". "comin', shorty?" You didn't know why... but you felt bad. "I'm so sorry, Wicked..."

Of course, he didn't understand what you were apologizing for. You didn't elaborate either. You didn't see the point. That parasite had killed everyone after all, and you could be next, for all you knew. You should be terrified, honestly, but you just felt calm around him as he led you into Waterfall and to a place called Undyne's. Wicked set down a glass of your favorite soda while he set down a barbecue sauce for himself and sat down beside you. "HOW DID YOU-?" Wicked cut you off. "a hunch of sans', funny, haven't felt my host stir in a long time, but then you show up... heh. he likes you." You flushed on instinct, taking a long sip of your drink. "Sans... is your host?" Once again, Wicked's glasses responded to the question. "YES GIRL". "How do your-" Your breath seemed to leave you suddenly and you coughed, trying to catch it. You fumbled for your inhaler and heard it drop from your pocket and onto the floor. Wicked seemed to grasp the situation quickly though. Before you knew it, he'd tugged down your mask, placing your inhaler to your lips. "breathe, [Y/N], breathe..."

Wicked decided to spend the night at Undyne's to watch over you. After breakfast the next day, he took you the rest of the way through Waterfall. "that place is so fly. it is sans favorite location in the entire underground." You regarded the parasite curiously. "Yeah? Why's that?" Wicked pointed up. "the stars, shorty. he likes the stars." You looked up and gasped, upon seeing hundreds and thousands of twinkling crystals. Wicked frowned instantly and wrapped his arm around your arms. "careful. don't needja to lose your breath again." You glanced at him before nodding. "Yeah... I understand, I'll be careful. I see why Sans likes them though..." You smiled and looked up again until the stars disappeared and you were no longer in Waterfall. Wicked took a shortcut to New Home, specially the lower parts of the castle where the barrier was. The heat and ruins would only affect you in a negative way. He knew it instinctively. "this is it, shorty. the barrier. your way outta here..." You didn't really think about it as you hugged Wicked. "Thank you for this..." He... hugged back. Reluctantly. "course, broseph..."

You tried to gather the determination to approach the barrier when Wicked caught your sleeve. "wait!" You turned to look at him to see his shades were off again. His eyelight bright and yellow, rather than a gold and red slit. "please, stay... we... don't wanna be alone again... we were very lonely..." You knew that it wasn't just Wicked talking. You smiled at him gently. "Why don't you come with me? We can find out how together..." Wicked and Sans nodded quickly and once more slipped his glasses back on. "thank you, [Y/N]... we... really appreciate this. we are excited to show you our world. as long as you have your medicine and inhaler, right?" You nodded. "Um, yeah. Exactly." They tugged you into another hug. "we know where we can get that for you."
Fín~... maybe 😉
