Teens littered the courtyard enjoying the morning breeze and catching up with their friends. I'd gotten to school earlier than usual seeing as it was Artemis' first day with us and I had the wonderful task of being her liaison. I wondered why they didn't just get someone in a higher grade but I didn't mind too much.

I spotted Artemis fiddling with her skirt as she stood there awkwardly. "You get used to it." I say to the girl. She looked up at me in shock.
"You go here?"

I nodded and handed her schedule, "Yep. It's better than it looks. I'm gonna be your liaison and show you around and hopefully soften the blow of having snobby rich kids talk about blowing 10 grand on a pair of heels."

Artemis laughed, taking the paper and shoving it in her pocket. "That will be very much appreciated."

Dick suddenly appeared out of nowhere, "Well laugh about this someday." He said before taking a picture and disappearing again.

"Who was that?" She asked looking around for the boy.

I shook my head with a knowing smile, "That is my annoying best friend. Don't worry too much about him." I started showing her around the school and pointed out a few clubs she could join. "The school encourages students to participate in at least one extra curricular program each semester. There's an archery club so you can get into that unless you're the poetry type."

She grimaced at the thought, "No, absolutely not. I'm definitely going for Archery club." We started making our way to her first class. "So, is this what you do whenever we're not... putting chickens in a cage."

I let out a giggle and nodded. "Among other things but yeah. My dad wanted me to be like other kids and grow up like he did. I guess he didn't want me to be a weapon." My mind went to Superboy, how I could've easily become a weapon for the Light if... it doesn't matter.

I adjusted my glasses as we stopped at a door. "G504. The home of biology and the high pitched nagging of Mrs Wendleberry."

Artemis looked amused, "I've handled worse."

I shook my head, "Trust me, you haven't. She's like a cat scratching on chalk board." I noticed Clover waving me down. I smiled and waved back to her before turning back to Artemis. "You'll be fine, just don't focus too much of the screech."

She gave me a thumbs up and walked into the class. I went over to Clover and gave her a hug. "You have no idea who just winked at me a few minutes ago." She said hooking our arms together.

"Let me guess, Ethan, no wait, Johnny." I said sarcastically. She smacked my arm playfully.

"Not funny. It was Hunter." She said with a giggle. She went on to ramble on about how dreamy his eyes were and how she just wished they could date.

"Gosh you're a heart throb." I laughed before going into our first class of the day.

I sat on the couch with Wally as he soloed a dozen donuts. He offered me one but I refused not really finding the powdery look very appealing at the moment.

"Have you ever thought about faxing through walls?" I asked looking up at the rocky ceiling.

"Wuh?" He asked with a mouth full of donut.

I turned my head to him, "Yeah, like walk through walls and stuff. I was thinking about random way I could use my powered and I thought about walking in the ceiling cause I've never done that before, then I thought about if people can walk through walls." I rambled.

"Yeah probably but—" An explosion cut him off, blowing a cloud of dust into the quarters.

"Wally!" I shouted looking for the boy in the chaos. I heard the rest of the team fighting and Wally called out to me letting me know he was ok.
