I walked into the kitchen to find mom making breakfast and dad at the table nursing a cup of coffee. "Good morning parents I love so dearly."

"Good morning sweetheart. You ready for school?" Mom asked. She was dressed really nice with her fancy brooches and all. I guess she had a special interview again. I nodded and gave her a quick kiss on the cheek.

"Yep. And you look beautiful by the way."

She gave me a wide smile and thanked me before turning to dad. "You see Clark, she noticed."

Dad stuttered a bit then turned the attention back to me,"You have all your homework done?"

"Nice try." I laughed. "And yes, I did it last night and before either of you ask, I'm keeping up with both school and hero work." Mom plated some pancakes for me and handed me the plate. I took it gladly and took my seat at the table. "Thanks mom these look amazing."

"You're welcome, sweet—" Mom's sentence got cut off and they both disappeared. "Mom? Dad?" I looked at the spots they occupied just seconds before but they seemed to have vanished into thin air. My first thought was someone knew my and dad's identities but the terrified screams outside seemed to disprove that idea.

I ran downstairs only to see a car heading full speed toward a middle schooler . I thankfully got there in time and got him out of the way before anything bad could happen. A number of kids were out in the street, left alone without their guardians. "Woah, thanks."

I gave the boy a smile, "No problem. Did your parents disappear too?"

He nodded, "My mom. She was walking me to school."

A call from Kaldur came through my phone. "Hey, every adult is missing, do you have any idea what's going on?" I asked, choosing my words wisely as I was still in my school uniform.

"We're working on it. All Justice League members are missing. Get all the kids you can to safety."

"On it. I think setting them up in schools and community centers as temporary shelters should do should keep them out of harms way." I suggested.

"Right. Superboy and Miss Martian are on their way to you. We'll keep working on finding what causes this." The call ended and I turned to the kid. "Come on kid. We'll figure this out."

"We've set up a refuge center at the high school gym. Any luck with contacting the League? Or any adult hero?" I was on a call with Robin letting him in on the situation from the ground. We'd been collecting kids from all around the city and thankfully no one was seriously hurt when the adults disappeared.

"No. Can't reach the Batcave, the Hall of Justice or the watch tower... or any adult hero, even Red Arrow." Robin said into the com-link.

I sighed, "Guess we're on our own, stay safe. Astria out."

The gymnasium was filled with kids of all ages. The older kids helped keep everyone together and entertain the younger ones. Artemis was especially good with them. Even with the hard persona she liked to put out, she had a good heart, a gentle and nurturing one at that.

"Aw for me?" Wally asked the little guy in his arms. "Thank you."

I gave a slight smile at the sight, "Didn't take you as the toddler loving type Wally."

"What can I say? The little guy's growing on me."

Artemis and M'gann joined us, "Hey. Did you call home?"

Wally's eyes dimmed, "No answer."

"You could zeta there." Artemis suggested in a softer tone.

He shook his head, "I've been collecting kids all day. I don't need to see another empty house."
