Silence was all I could give. I didn't know what to say. Black Canary had been assigned to be our therapist of sorts so we could deal with what happened in the training exercise.
"It must have been devastating. Watching all your friends and family die before your eyes. Convinced it was completely real." The woman watched me shift in the plush green sofa.
"It was..." I said simply. I stared at the glass of water on the coffee table. It's stillness seeming to keep me from breaking under the weight of my guilt. "Everyone says it wasn't my fault but I can't shake the feeling that it was. I watched my brother die. My friends... Robin."
"You shouldn't blame yourself. You weren't aware of your hidden abilities." I sighed and hugged my knees to my body. Black canary scanned my face. "About your mother, are you making any effort to look it her and your powers?"
I nodded, "Yeah. My dad gave me something she left for me but I don't know how to use it. I don't even know how my powers work. Hell, I don't even know if I want to open that box."
"You're afraid you'll hurt someone you care about." I nodded, the thought brought a lump in my throat. "I understand but Y/n, not finding the other side of you or your powers is like me not speaking. I tried after my first canary cry nearly deafened my first grade class." I looked up at her, her eyes were kind. No judgment lingered there like I'd expected.

Dick and I were in the fortress of Solitude to find some answers to how to use the orb. We'd hoped that the Kryptonian archives could hopefully have something on Galadon history and the orb. We walked into the fortress and Kelex, the guardian of the fortress, flew towards us. "Y/n Kent, verified." The mechanic voice said after scanning me. He moved on to Dick but he stopped, "Unknown personal detected. Engaging Fortress defenses."
Dick backed away slightly, "Kelex, disengage. He's with me. This is Dick Grayson, my friend, you will not harm him." I ordered. Kelex backed down.
"Yes, Miss Y/n. Welcome to the Fortress of Solitude. How may I be of assistance to you?"
I got the orb out of my back pack, "I need you to run an analysis on this sphere and pull up everything you have on Planet Galadon."
"Do all your Kryptonian robots go on the defensive like that?" Dick asked as we walked to the control centre.
I smiled and shook my head. "Kelex was designed to protect this place. This is the last piece of Krypton in the known universe so he's very particular with who comes in here."
Kelex came over to us with the sphere. "I ran an analysis of the orb, Miss Y/n. It's a Galadain sphere. Developed 300 years before the Draxal rule by Dr. Ludrana Gralnoth, head scientist in Technological Research and Development." Kelex displayed a few pictures of Galadon before it was destroyed.
The planet was nothing short of beautiful, with its pink atmosphere and Saturn-like rings. It felt odd seeing it. Like a place you knew but you've never been there before. Kelex continued, "The Sphere was designed to store information, act as a power source and be used as a weapon if necessary. It's running on some advanced power source capable of running a country for three months." Dick and I gave each other a look.
"Weapon? Like a bomb?" Dick asked. "If I had that much power it could be used to level one too."
"Affirmative, Mr. Grayson."
"It won't come to that. No one knows it exists so we'll keep it here and away from people." I said. "Kelex, do you know how to open it?"
"Galadians are able to open the sphere using their psychic abilities."
