A loud bang echoed through the vast space. I looked around to see nothing. "What was that?" I asked turning to my subconscious.

"Someone's trying to get in here." She said. "Run. You need to keep whoever that is from getting in here. Your powers are way too strong for anyone on the Light to get control. Don't let them get control."

"W-where do I go? Ahhh!" I screamed as I fell through the floor. I felt a number of hands pulling me down, gripping onto my clothing and digging into my skin. I was enveloped by the hands as they pulled me down I reached for something, someone to help me. That's when I felt it, a hand taking mine and pulling me out.

I heaved, my heart racing. I looked up to see, "Artemis? Another vision really?" I said. I stood up and crossed my arms. "What was that about anyway? I swear I hate myself."

The girl looked at me confused but the dispersion in her eyes evident. "Wha— no it's me. M'gann and I came here to save you."

"M'gann's here?"

"Yeah, but she's current getting beaten up by you and her guilt." She said pointing at the girl. I looked to see her curled up in a ball talking all the attacks another version of me in my Astria suit was dishing out. She kept muttering the words, "my fault" over and over.

We ran towards her. "M'gann!" She looked up, tears pouring out of her eyes. "I'm sorry. It's my fault."

"No it's not." I stepped closer but Astria blocked my way. "Yes it is!" I looked into her eyes and walked through her. The image dissolving into nothing. I knelt beside her and cupped her cheek, my thumb wiping the tears. "M'gann, you didn't know. And yes, the psychic attack was bad but I'm ok. You came here to save me, possibly putting your life in danger."

She looked up at me, the guilt in her eyes so clear. "I don't blame you but we need to get me out of here. I need you to help Artemis and I right now. You've beat yourself up enough and we need you so stop this now."

She gave me a nod and I helped her up. Artemis joined us. "So, any idea how to get back to reality?"

"No clue but we'll figure it out."

I sat in my bed looking straight ahead, a blank expression plastered on my face. We'd managed to pull me out of whatever mind haze I was in but kept up the pretense that I was still not better. This was to give us time to come up with a plan to save M'gann's life as Black Manta wanted her head on a stick. Kaldur, Artemis and M'gann sat beside me as we spoke through the psychic link. "So what's our next move?" I asked.

"With that inhibitor collar disabling M'gann's shape shifting and telekinetic abilities, I'm not sure." Artemis said looking hopeless through the mask.

"I guess we're lucky deathstroke hasn't pressed a button to blow my head of with the built in explosives in the collar." M'gann said.

"True but we still have the element of surprise. They don't know I'm ok now so that gives us time to find a way to get M'gann out before that happens."

Artemis stood up and placed her glass of water onto the side table. She crossed her arms as she looked down at me. "The question is, how long can we continue to stall?" Just then Black Manta walked through the heavy steal doors.

"My patients has run out, Martian. You have 24 hours." He said, the red eyes boring into her. "Finish curing Rose, or die." The look of despair spread on M'gann's face. Black Manta was a ruthless man, willing to take a life with no thought. The four of us knew that Manta wasn't gonna let this go and sooner or later, M'gann was going to be killed. The man left leaving Kaldur, Artemis, M'gann and I alone.
