A sweet surprise

The private plane touched down in the US, and the band members were excited to return home after their European tour. Kendall and Logan, having been inseparable for months, had to face the challenge of being apart for the first time in a while. As the band members went off to visit their families, Kendall found himself in his childhood home, reconnecting with his family.

Despite the warm and loving atmosphere, Kendall couldn't shake the feeling of loneliness that came from being away from Logan. Whenever he wasn't spending time with his family, he was texting or calling Logan, trying to bridge the distance between them.

Kendall's mom, ever perceptive, noticed the subtle changes in her son's demeanor. Despite his reassurances that he was enjoying his time at home, she could see the sadness in his eyes.

One evening, after dinner, Kendall's mom gently broached the subject. "Kendall, I've noticed you seem a bit down lately. Is everything alright? You know you can talk to me."

Kendall forced a smile, brushing off her concern. "I'm fine, Mom. Just missing Logan a bit. It's been nice to catch up with everyone here, though."

His mom, with her characteristic warmth and understanding, gave him a comforting look. "I know how hard it can be to be away from someone you care about. Maybe it would help if Logan could come over for a visit. Just like old times."

Kendall hesitated, his thoughts immediately going to Logan's family. "I appreciate that, Mom, but Logan should spend time with his family too. I don't want to intrude on their time together."

Unbeknownst to Kendall, his mom had already taken matters into her own hands. Determined to lift her son's spirits, she made a few calls and arranged a special surprise for the next afternoon.

The following day, Kendall tried to stay positive, though he felt a little downcast. His mom noticed and encouraged him to keep busy. After tea, she asked him to help his dad with the groceries. Kendall, eager to help and hoping it might distract him, agreed.

When Kendall and his dad went outside to retrieve the groceries from the truck, they were met with an unexpected sight. His dad wasn't just unloading bags of groceries-he was also helping a familiar face out of the car.

As Kendall approached, his heart skipped a beat. Standing by the truck was Logan, who looked just as surprised as Kendall. Logan's face broke into a wide smile as he saw Kendall, who stood frozen for a moment, stunned by the surprise.

Kendall's eyes filled with tears of joy and disbelief as he rushed forward, wrapping Logan in a tight embrace. "Logan! What are you doing here?"

Logan laughed, holding Kendall close. "Your mom called me and said she wanted to surprise you. I couldn't resist. I've missed you so much."

Kendall's mom, watching from the doorway with a satisfied smile, walked over and hugged both of them. "I thought it would be nice for you two to spend some time together. I hope you enjoy your time here."

Kendall, still in shock and overwhelmed with happiness, managed to stammer, "Thank you, Mom. This is the best surprise ever."

Logan, grinning widely, added, "Yeah, this is amazing. I can't believe it!"

With Logan by his side, Kendall's spirits were instantly lifted. The rest of the day was filled with laughter, shared stories, and the joy of being reunited. The surprise had worked its magic, bringing a newfound warmth to Kendall's heart and reminding him of the deep connection he shared with Logan.

As they settled in for a cozy evening together, Kendall couldn't help but marvel at the thoughtful gesture from his mom. The surprise had not only brightened his day but had also strengthened his bond with Logan, making their reunion all the more special.
