The slip up

The event was buzzing with energy as fans, media, and celebrities mingled in the elegant ballroom. The boys had arrived early, taking time to navigate the red carpet and get settled into their seats for the evening's festivities. They had been in high spirits, enjoying the chance to unwind and connect with others in the industry.

During a lull in the evening's schedule, the band was approached for an interview by a well-known entertainment reporter. The crew set up their equipment, and soon Kendall, Logan, James, and Carlos were seated in front of the cameras, ready to discuss their latest projects and experiences.

The interviewer, a charismatic woman with a warm smile, started off with general questions about their new single, upcoming tour, and the positive reception from fans. The conversation flowed smoothly, with each band member contributing their thoughts and updates.

Then the topic shifted to their personal lives, though still focusing primarily on their work. "So, Kendall, I've heard that you've been quite busy these days. How are you balancing everything, especially with your recent public appearances and personal commitments?"

Kendall, feeling relaxed and enjoying the flow of the conversation, responded with a chuckle. "Well, having Logan by my side really helps. He's been incredibly supportive. It's great to have someone you can count on, especially when-"

He paused mid-sentence, realizing what he had just said. The slip was barely noticeable, but the way he had casually referred to Logan as his boyfriend was enough to catch the attention of the interviewer and the crew.

Logan's eyes widened slightly, but he quickly masked his surprise with a composed smile. He reached out and gently placed a reassuring hand on Kendall's back, sensing his immediate discomfort.

James and Carlos, sitting nearby, exchanged quick glances. Both were well aware of the delicate balance they had maintained regarding Kendall and Logan's relationship. They needed to manage this slip-up with care to prevent any unnecessary speculation or media frenzy.

James took the lead, stepping in with his usual charm. "We're all about balancing our personal and professional lives. It's important to have a good support system, and we're lucky to have each other, both as friends and colleagues. Kendall's been amazing at managing it all."

Carlos quickly added, "Absolutely. We're a tight-knit group, and we all support one another, both on and off the stage."

The interviewer, sensing the shift in tone, nodded and smoothly transitioned back to questions about their upcoming tour and projects. "That's great to hear. So, what can fans expect from your next tour?"

As the conversation shifted focus, Logan leaned closer to Kendall, his expression softening. "Hey, are you okay?" he whispered, his concern evident.

Kendall looked at Logan, his cheeks flushed with a mix of embarrassment and anxiety. "Yeah, I'm fine. I didn't mean to let that slip. I'm sorry."

Logan gave him a reassuring smile. "It's okay. It's not the end of the world. We'll handle it. You did great."

The interview continued without further incident, and as soon as they wrapped up, James and Carlos joined Kendall and Logan. The atmosphere was supportive and understanding.

James put a hand on Kendall's shoulder. "We've got this under control. Don't worry too much. We'll address any fallout if it comes."

Carlos added, "Yeah, we've been through plenty of curveballs. This is just another one. You handled it well."

With the support of his bandmates and Logan, Kendall started to feel more at ease. The evening went on smoothly, and as the event continued, the band enjoyed their time, mingling with others and celebrating their achievements.

Later that night, as they were heading back to their hotel, Kendall turned to Logan with a grateful smile. "Thanks for having my back. I was really nervous about that."

Logan wrapped an arm around Kendall's shoulders, pulling him close. "Always. We're in this together, remember?"

Kendall nodded, leaning into Logan's side. "I do. And I'm glad for it."

As they walked through the hotel lobby, the band members shared a collective sense of camaraderie. Despite the slip-up, they knew they could handle whatever came their way-together.
