A few weeks had passed since the band's last big appearance, and the summer holidays had been a much-needed break for all four members. They had taken the time to recharge, each spending time with family, traveling, or just unwinding at home. But now, the break was over, and preparations for their upcoming Asia tour were in full swing.
The days were long, filled with intense rehearsals, meetings with their team, and finalizing details for the tour. The excitement was palpable as the boys worked on perfecting their performances, ensuring everything was just right for their fans across the world.
It was late in the afternoon when they finally wrapped up another grueling rehearsal session. Kendall wiped the sweat from his brow and stretched his arms above his head, feeling the satisfying ache in his muscles.
"Alright, I think we're good for today," he said, glancing around at his bandmates. "Same time tomorrow?"
James nodded, already gathering his things. "Yup, 9 AM sharp. I'll be there with coffee in hand."
"Make that two coffees," Carlos added with a grin. "One for me, one for my jet lag."
Logan chuckled as he tossed his towel into his gym bag. "You know, Carlos, you wouldn't have jet lag if you didn't stay up all night playing video games."
Carlos shrugged, unabashed. "Hey, I've got to unwind somehow!"
The group laughed as they headed toward the exit. As they reached the door, they began sharing their evening plans.
"I'm heading home to crash," James said, looking tired but content. "Maybe watch a movie or something."
"Same," Carlos agreed. "I'm just going to chill tonight. Maybe order some takeout."
Kendall and Logan exchanged a brief glance, a silent conversation passing between them. Logan cleared his throat, trying to sound casual. "I've got some plans tonight. Gonna grab dinner."
Kendall smiled, nodding in agreement. "Yeah, I'm doing the same."
James, ever the observant one, raised an eyebrow but didn't comment. "Alright, you two. Have fun tonight, whatever you're up to."
"Thanks," Logan said, a hint of a smile on his lips. "See you guys tomorrow."
They all exchanged goodbyes, and Kendall and Logan watched as James and Carlos headed off in different directions. Once they were out of sight, Kendall turned to Logan, his heart fluttering with a mix of excitement and nerves.
"So, where are we going?" Kendall asked, trying to keep his voice steady.
Logan grinned, reaching out to take Kendall's hand, their fingers intertwining naturally. "I've got a place in mind. Nothing too flashy, but I think you'll like it."
The evening was warm as they walked down the street, the sun setting in a blaze of colors. The city was alive with the sounds of people enjoying their night, but for Kendall and Logan, it felt like they were in their own little world.
Logan led them to a quaint little bistro tucked away in a quiet corner of the city. The place had a cozy, intimate atmosphere, with soft lighting and a relaxed vibe. It was the perfect spot for a first public date-nothing too obvious, but undeniably special.
They were seated at a small table near the window, where they could watch the world go by as they enjoyed their meal. The conversation flowed easily, as it always did between them. They talked about everything and nothing, from the upcoming tour to the little things that had happened during their day.
At one point, the waiter brought over a dessert menu, and Logan couldn't resist ordering something sweet for them to share. When the dessert arrived-a rich chocolate torte with a dollop of whipped cream-Kendall couldn't help but laugh as Logan made a show of taking the first bite.
"Is it good?" Kendall asked, smiling at Logan's enthusiasm.
"It's amazing," Logan replied, holding out a forkful for Kendall to try. "You've got to taste this."
Kendall leaned in, taking the offered bite, and his eyes widened in delight. "Wow, you're right. That's incredible."
They continued sharing the dessert, the mood light and playful. There was something so easy and comfortable about being together like this, in a public space but still wrapped up in their own little bubble.
As they finished their meal, Logan reached across the table, taking Kendall's hand once more. "I'm really glad we did this," he said softly, his eyes warm and sincere.
"Me too," Kendall replied, squeezing Logan's hand gently. "This was perfect."
They sat there for a few more minutes, just enjoying the quiet moment between them. Eventually, they paid the bill and left the bistro, stepping back out into the night.
Walking back toward their cars, they kept their hands linked, not caring who might see. It wasn't about making a statement or drawing attention-it was just about being together, and that was enough.
As they reached the parking lot, Logan turned to Kendall, a soft smile on his lips. "So... I'll see you tomorrow at rehearsal?"
Kendall nodded, leaning in to give Logan a quick, sweet kiss. "You better be there on time," he teased.
"I wouldn't miss it for the world," Logan replied, his voice warm with affection.
They exchanged goodbyes, each heading to their respective cars. As Kendall drove home, he couldn't help but replay the evening in his mind, a contented smile on his face. It was their first public date, and it had been everything he could have hoped for-simple, sweet, and absolutely perfect.
