**Chapter: The Interview**

---

The studio was bright and cheerful, decorated with a backdrop of neon lights and PopSugar logos. Kendall, Logan, James, and Carlos were seated comfortably on a couch, facing the interviewer-a bubbly woman named Samantha who had a knack for making celebrities feel at ease. They were here to promote their new single, "Only One," but as always with PopSugar, there was going to be a fun twist.

"Alright, guys, we're going to play a little game," Samantha began, grinning at the four of them. "It's called 'This or That.' Super simple-I'll give you two options, and you just pick which one you prefer. Are you ready?"

The guys exchanged playful glances and nodded enthusiastically.

"Okay, first one: guitar or piano?"

"Guitar!" James and Carlos said simultaneously, causing everyone to laugh.

"Piano," Kendall and Logan answered, almost in sync. They glanced at each other, sharing a private smile.

"Alright, alright," Samantha chuckled. "McDonald's or KFC?"

"KFC," Logan said without hesitation.

"McDonald's," Carlos chimed in. "You can't beat the fries!"

"I'm with Carlos," James added. "McDonald's all the way."

"KFC for me," Kendall said, flashing a quick smile at Logan. It was a little thing, but the subtle connection between them didn't go unnoticed.

"Okay, this next one might stir the pot a bit," Samantha teased, leaning in slightly. "Single or dating?"

There was a brief moment of silence. The question had been inevitable, but that didn't make it any less nerve-wracking. Kendall and Logan exchanged a quick look, trying to gauge each other's reaction.

James, ever the quick thinker, jumped in first. "Well, we're all dating our careers right now, that's for sure."

Everyone laughed, and Carlos nodded in agreement. "Yeah, the tour has definitely kept us busy."

But Samantha wasn't done. She looked pointedly at Kendall and Logan, her curiosity piqued by the way they had glanced at each other. "What about you two? Any special someone?"

Kendall felt his heart rate spike, but he kept his cool. This was a perfect opportunity-one they had discussed with James and Carlos just days before. He glanced at Logan again, who gave him a nearly imperceptible nod.

"Well," Kendall began, his voice steady but with a hint of playfulness, "I'd say I'm pretty happy with where I am right now. Definitely not single."

Logan smiled, following Kendall's lead. "Yeah, I'm in a pretty good place too. Let's just say I'm not on the market."

The interviewer raised an eyebrow, sensing there was more to the story but respecting their decision to keep it light. "Interesting, interesting," she said, her tone a mix of curiosity and amusement. "You guys always know how to keep us guessing!"

They all laughed again, the moment passing without too much pressure. But the subtle hints were there, and they knew their fans would pick up on it.

"Okay, last one," Samantha said, deciding to move on. "Dogs or cats?"

"Dogs," Kendall said, relieved by the shift in the conversation.

"Cats," Logan replied, earning a mock look of disapproval from Kendall.

"Dogs, definitely," James agreed.

"Cats all the way," Carlos said, shaking his head at James.

Samantha grinned, satisfied with the game's outcome. "Well, it sounds like you guys are split on a lot of things, but you all agree that you're in a good place right now. And that's what matters."
