A few weeks had passed since that night in LA, and things between Kendall and Logan had shifted in the best possible way. They had been spending more time together, feeling out their new dynamic, but they hadn't told anyone else yet. Not because they were hiding it, but because they wanted to be sure of what they were before bringing it to the rest of the world—or in this case, to James and Carlos.

But today was the day. The four of them were meeting up for a casual hangout at Carlos' place, a sunny afternoon of BBQ and catching up. It was the first time in a while that all of them had been in the same room, and Kendall and Logan knew they couldn't keep their relationship under wraps any longer.

They arrived together, as usual, but this time their hands brushed as they walked up the driveway, sending a jolt of nervous excitement through both of them.

"You ready for this?" Logan asked, glancing over at Kendall.

Kendall took a deep breath and nodded. "Yeah, I am. They're our friends, right? It's gonna be fine."

Though in both their minds there was still a bit of worry, they were still a bit reserved about their friends reactions as they knew fine well though they loved their friends, they do have rather other political and religious beliefs.
They doubted they would react badly, but for now it was still a big question mark.

Even though Logan smiled, squeezing Kendall's shoulder reassuringly. "Yeah, you're right. Let's do this."

Carlos was the first to greet them at the door, his usual high-energy self. "Kendall! Logan! About time you guys got here. We were starting to think you got lost or something."

James appeared behind Carlos, grinning. "Yeah, or maybe you two were too busy working on another secret project. You've been pretty tight-lipped lately."

Kendall chuckled nervously, exchanging a quick glance with Logan. "Something like that."

"Come on, the grill's going, and I'm starving," Carlos said, ushering them inside. "James has been talking my ear off about some new fitness routine. Save me."

"Hey, don't knock it until you try it," James shot back with a laugh, leading the way to the backyard.

They all settled into the familiar rhythm of hanging out, cracking jokes, reminiscing about the old days, and generally just enjoying each other's company. The air was filled with the scent of grilling burgers and the sound of laughter, but underneath it all, Kendall and Logan were both hyper-aware of the conversation they needed to have.

Finally, after they'd eaten and the mood had mellowed, Kendall caught Logan's eye. It was now or never.

"Hey, guys," Kendall started, leaning forward in his chair. "Logan and I... we need to talk to you about something."

James and Carlos looked up, their expressions shifting from relaxed to curious. "Sure, what's up?" James asked, his tone light but tinged with concern.

Logan cleared his throat, a bit more nervous than he expected to be. "Okay, so... this is kind of a big deal for us, and we wanted to tell you both because, well, you're our best friends."

Carlos raised an eyebrow, glancing between the two of them. "You're starting to freak me out. Just spill it, man."

Kendall smiled, appreciating Carlos' directness. "Alright, here goes. Logan and I... we're together. Like, as a couple."

There was a moment of silence as James and Carlos processed the information. The tension hung in the air, making Kendall's heart race. He could feel Logan's nervous energy beside him, and he reached over to give his hand a squeeze under the table.

Finally, James spoke up, a slow grin spreading across his face. "You're serious? Like, this is real?"

"Yeah, it's real," Logan confirmed, his voice steady but his heart pounding.

Carlos blinked a few times, then broke into a wide smile. "That's awesome, guys! I mean, I didn't see it coming, but it makes sense now that I think about it."

"Yeah, seriously," James added, leaning back in his chair. "I'm happy for you both. If anyone deserves to find happiness, it's you two."

Relief flooded through Kendall, and he let out a breath he didn't realize he'd been holding. "Thanks, guys. We weren't sure how you'd react, but we didn't want to keep it from you."

"Are you kidding?" Carlos said, clapping a hand on Kendall's shoulder. "We've been through everything together. This is just one more chapter. Besides, it's about time one of us found someone who could put up with our crazy lives."

James laughed, nodding in agreement. "And it's fitting that it's one of us. You know, keeping it in the family."

Logan chuckled, the tension in his chest finally easing. "Yeah, I guess it is."

They spent the next few minutes talking more about how it had all started, with James and Carlos asking questions and making the occasional joke, but all in good spirits. It felt good to be open about it, to have their friends' support.

At one point, Carlos leaned back in his chair, a thoughtful look on his face. "You know what this means, right? If we go on tour again, the fans are gonna lose their minds."

Kendall laughed, shaking his head. "One step at a time, Carlos."

"But yeah," Logan added, grinning. "It would definitely add a new twist to things."

James raised his glass. "To new twists, then. And to the next chapter, whatever it brings."

They all clinked their glasses together, the moment feeling like the start of something new, something even better than before.

Kendall looked around at his friends, at Logan, and felt a warmth settle in his chest. They were more than just bandmates; they were family. And now, with this new chapter opening up, he knew that whatever came next, they would face it together.

As the evening wore on and the sun dipped low, the four of them stayed in the backyard, talking and laughing until the stars came out. The future was uncertain, as it always had been, but for the first time in a long time, Kendall felt like everything was exactly where it was meant to be.
