The band had gathered early in the afternoon for another rehearsal, this time prepping for an upcoming live show in Los Angeles. The mood was light as they entered the rehearsal studio, their energy still high from the interview and the buzz it had generated. Despite the pressures of the industry, today felt like one of those rare days where they could just enjoy each other's company and the music they loved.

"Alright, let's get started," Kendall said, clapping his hands together as he stood in the middle of the room. He was wearing his usual rehearsal gear-comfortable sweats, a t-shirt, and a backwards cap. He looked around at his bandmates, who were all stretching and warming up.

"Sure thing, Captain," James teased, saluting Kendall before breaking into a few warm-up vocal exercises. "But first, let's make sure we all remember the choreography this time."

Carlos shot him a playful glare. "You're one to talk! You're always the one who forgets the steps!"

James feigned offense, placing a hand dramatically over his heart. "I never forget, I just... improvise."

Logan, who had been adjusting his mic stand, couldn't help but laugh. "Improvise? Is that what we're calling it now? Because last time, you almost knocked me over with one of your 'improvised' moves."

"Hey, it added a bit of flair to the performance," James countered, smirking. "But don't worry, I'll stick to the script today. Promise."

Kendall shook his head, grinning. "Alright, alright, let's just run through the set. We'll start with the new single, then go back and hit some of the older stuff. Sound good?"

The others nodded in agreement, and the rehearsal officially began. They started with "Only One," running through the choreography and vocals. Despite the lighthearted banter, when it came to the music, they were all business. The harmonies were tight, the movements sharp. This was their craft, and they were pros at it.

But that didn't mean they couldn't have a little fun along the way.

As they transitioned into one of their older hits, Carlos couldn't resist adding his own flair to the choreography, throwing in a goofy dance move that had the others cracking up mid-song.

"Nice moves, Carlos," Logan said, laughing as he tried to keep up with his friend's antics. "You should save that one for the live show."

"Maybe I will," Carlos shot back with a grin. "Gotta keep the fans on their toes."

They finished the song, and Kendall called for a quick break. They all grabbed their water bottles and settled down on the edge of the stage. The rehearsal space was quiet for a moment, just the sound of their breathing as they caught their breath.

"Remember when we first started out?" James said, breaking the silence. "We used to mess around all the time during rehearsals. I can't believe we've made it this far."

"Yeah, and now we're in our thirties and still acting like a bunch of kids," Logan added, chuckling. "Not that I'm complaining."

"Why would we change?" Carlos said, leaning back on his hands. "We've got the best job in the world, and we get to do it with our best friends."

Kendall smiled, looking around at his bandmates. "Couldn't agree more."

They sat in companionable silence for a few minutes,
