Kendall stood outside the quiet corner where Logan had retreated. His heart was heavy with regret, the weight of their argument pressing down on him. He knew he needed to make things right. Taking a deep breath, he approached Logan, who was sitting with his face buried in his hands. Kendall's voice was soft, filled with genuine remorse.
"Logie..." Kendall began, his tone gentle but firm. "I'm sorry. I don't want to fight, especially not with you."
Logan looked up, his eyes still red from the tears. The hurt was evident, but there was also a flicker of understanding. He let out a deep sigh, feeling the tension slowly dissipate as Kendall's words sank in.
"It's alright," Logan said softly, though his voice still carried the weight of their earlier argument. He knew they both needed to be better at handling the stress, especially with everything they had been through recently.
Kendall extended his hand toward Logan, a small, hopeful smile on his face. Logan hesitated for only a moment before he reached out, taking Kendall's hand. Kendall gently pulled Logan to his feet, and without another word, they embraced tightly. The warmth of the hug was reassuring, a silent promise to each other that they would try harder, communicate better.
As they walked back toward the rehearsal room, their hands found each other's once more, fingers intertwined in a small but significant gesture of unity. When they re-entered the room, Carlos and James looked up anxiously, hoping that their friends had managed to patch things up.
Seeing Kendall and Logan walk in hand-in-hand, the tension in the room instantly lifted. Carlos let out a sigh of relief, and James couldn't help but smile at the sight. The silent worry they had both been carrying faded, replaced by a shared sense of comfort knowing their friends had worked through it.
Kendall cleared his throat, feeling the need to address the unspoken question that was lingering in the room. "I'm sorry, guys. I shouldn't have taken my stress out on Logan... on any of you."
Carlos stepped forward, his tone gentle. "We get it, Kendall. We're all under a lot of pressure. But we're here for you, man. We just want to make sure you're okay."
James nodded in agreement, adding, "Yeah, we've come this far together. We just want to help. We know you've been dealing with a lot."
Kendall looked at Logan, then back at his bandmates, feeling the support and care from all of them. He knew they weren't just his bandmates-they were his brothers. But it was hard for him to articulate the whirlwind of emotions that had been overwhelming him, especially after things had been going so well for them.
"I don't know what's wrong with me," Kendall admitted, his voice shaky. "I've just been so anxious again, like I'm waiting for something bad to happen. And I hate that I'm letting it affect all of you."
Logan squeezed Kendall's hand gently, his voice soft but reassuring. "It's okay to feel that way, but you don't have to go through it alone. We're in this together."
Carlos and James exchanged a look, and then Carlos spoke up. "Maybe we can try to figure out what's been triggering your anxiety. We can help you work through it, without crossing any lines."
James nodded in agreement. "Yeah, we don't want to push too hard, but if we can help you find a way to keep it from overwhelming you, we will."
Kendall nodded slowly, appreciating their understanding. "I think... I just need to remind myself that I'm not alone in this. And that it's okay to ask for help, even when it feels like too much."
The bandmates stood together in silence for a moment, letting the words sink in. The air in the room felt lighter now, the bonds between them strengthened by their openness.
Logan gave Kendall a small smile, his voice teasing but warm. "Ready to get back to rehearsing? We've got a show to nail, and I'm not letting you off the hook just because you're cute."
Kendall chuckled, feeling a warmth spread through him at Logan's words. "Yeah, let's get back to it. And... thanks, guys. I really appreciate it."
With that, they all returned to their rehearsal positions, the tension from earlier replaced by a renewed sense of unity. They knew there would still be challenges ahead, but they also knew they could face them together.
As the music started up again, Kendall glanced over at Logan, who was already focused on the choreography. Their earlier argument felt like a distant memory now, replaced by a shared determination to move forward, stronger than before.
