The Kim siblings, along with Namjoon's friend Joo-young and his wife Min-ji, wandered through the Gardens by the Bay, marveling at the breathtaking view of the Supertrees and the lush greenery around them.
"Wow, this place is unreal," Hoseok said, his eyes wide with wonder as he snapped pictures on his phone.
"It's like we stepped into another world," YN added, admiring the stunning scenery.
"Definitely one of the best places we've visited so far," Jin chimed in, his usual sleepy demeanor brightened by the atmosphere.
As they continued to walk, Joo-young, who had been quiet for a while, suddenly turned to Namjoon with a mischievous grin. "By the way, Namjoon, do you remember what tomorrow is?"
Namjoon furrowed his brows in confusion. "What are you talking about?"
Joo-young sighed dramatically, shaking his head in disbelief. "Seriously, Namjoon? Just because you disappeared for 12 years doesn't mean you get to forget your best friend's birthday!"
Namjoon blinked, realization slowly dawning on his face. "Oh... it's your birthday tomorrow?"
Joo-young let out an exaggerated gasp. "Unbelievable! I can't believe you actually forgot!"
Namjoon laughed awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck. "Sorry, man. With everything going on, it must've slipped my mind."
Jimin, overhearing the conversation, smirked. "Looks like you're gonna owe him a big present now, Namjoon Hyung."
Joo-young grinned, patting Namjoon's shoulder. "Oh, don't worry. I'll be expecting something special to make up for this."
Min-ji chuckled, linking her arm with Joo-young's. "You always find a way to guilt-trip people into giving you better gifts."
Namjoon smiled, but a part of him felt a bit uneasy. Something about this interaction felt off, though he couldn't quite put his finger on it. He glanced at Yoongi, who was quietly observing the exchange with his usual calm, unreadable expression.
"Don't worry, Joo-young, Ask what you want, Joon will give you," Hoseok said, trying to lighten the mood.
"Hmm... Let me think... How about... Him?" he said making everyone confuse.
"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" Yoongi's voice comes out colder than he intended
"Oh...sorry, I mean, can I borrow my friend from you all for a day? I know you all are on a trip but I really want to celebrate my birthday with him," Joo-young said.
The atmosphere grew a little tense as everyone processed Joo-young's odd request. The playful vibe had shifted slightly, and Namjoon could feel the weight of all eyes on him.
Namjoon tried to laugh it off, though the uneasy feeling still lingered in his gut. "Borrow me for a day? You make it sound like I'm some kind of...object."
