The Kim siblings thought they were finally free-free to live, to laugh, to escape the shadows of their past.
A trip abroad was supposed to be a time to unwind, to strengthen their bond after all they had endured. But peace is fleeting, and darkness...

So, ofc just like how I don't know much about mafia plan since I ain't a mafia, I don't much about law and court things. I am not a lawyer... So if I did any mistake, forgive me for it.
💀💀💀
Attorney Kang began, "Your honor, as my fellow lawyer, Mr. Han said, it is true that Mr. Joo-young along with his wife Mrs. Minji, met with my client, Mr. Kim and his family when they were here in a holiday as well. Mr. Joo-young and Mr. Kim were childhood friends your honor and suddenly meeting after so long in a different country was a shock to both. Mr. Joo-young's behaviour was odd and strange from the first day he met with Mr. Kim as stated by Mr. Kim's elder brother. He was kind of forcing himself to join among them from the first day," she paused and stepped forward a little.
She looked back at Joo-young and then back at the judge, "And suddenly he even met them in the same hotel they were staying. Isn't it suspicious? Mr. Han, himself told us, that Mr. Joo-young have rented a house here, so what was he even doing there with his wife? Isn't it strange?"
She continued, "Anyways, moving forward, day before Mr. Joo-young's birthday, he was insisting Mr. Kim to come and celebrate with him. Mr. Kim's elder brother offered to celebrate together but he was reluctant. For some reasons known only to him, he just wanted to spend that day with Mr. Kim. But atlast, they all celebrated together. And another what condition? That Mr. Kim will stay back with Mr. Joo-young to have some drinks alone."
She paused and watched as the judge write something before looking up with a signal to continue. She nodded and continued, "That time also Mr. Kim's elder brother suggested if they all should go together and Mr. Joo-young denied saying he just wanted to go with Mr. Kim since the place is small, when in real, the place where they went is considered to be one of the biggest bar of this city"
Attorney Kang took a deep breath, her eyes scanning the room before continuing, “Now, let’s discuss the events of that night in more detail, your honor. As Mr. Han mentioned, Mr. Kim and Mr. Joo-young went to the bar for drinks. But what wasn’t highlighted is that Mr. Joo-young was excessively intoxicated, as confirmed by the bartender’s statement. Yet, it was Mr. Kim who offered to retrieve Mr. Joo-young’s wallet from his rented house—a responsible decision considering Mr. Joo-young’s inebriated state.”
She turned toward the jury, her voice growing firmer. “Now here’s where things become questionable. Why would Mr. Joo-young allow his drunk self to stay at the bar alone when he knew his wife was at home? And why did he not contact her when Mr. Kim didn’t return promptly? Is it possible Mr. Joo-young wasn’t worried because he already knew what was happening at his residence?”
The room filled with murmurs, but the judge banged the gavel lightly. “Order in the court,” he instructed.
Kang nodded respectfully at the judge and pressed on, “Furthermore, the timeline presented by Mr. Han has inconsistencies. Mr. Joo-young claimed that he returned home after waiting for Mr. Kim. But if he was so drunk, how did he manage to navigate his way home so effortlessly? Witnesses at the bar noted that he left in a suspiciously composed manner, far from someone as intoxicated as he claimed to be.”
