The next day was all about celebrating Joo-young's birthday. The Kim siblings, Joo-young, and his wife Minji started the day at a famous picnic spot. It was a sunny morning, the perfect weather for a relaxed outing. They sat on the soft grass, talking and laughing, while Hoseok and Jimin played a little soccer with Jungkook and YN.
After a few hours of enjoying the peaceful atmosphere, they made their way to a fancy restaurant for lunch. The food was exquisite, and the mood was light as everyone chatted. But throughout the day, Yoongi remained quiet, carefully observing Joo-young and Minji. Something about them didn't sit right with him. He couldn't explain it, but his instincts were sharp, and they were telling him to stay alert.
Namjoon seemed to have brushed off the earlier conversations about Joo-young's odd behavior, but Yoongi wasn't as quick to let it go. He noticed small things—a glance exchanged between Joo-young and Minji, the way Joo-young was overly friendly, as if he was trying too hard to make Namjoon comfortable.
By the time they hit the club that night, the atmosphere had shifted to one of celebration. The music was loud, and the lights flashed in sync with the beats. They all danced, letting loose after the long day, even Yoongi joining in despite his usual reluctance. Jimin and Hoseok stole the spotlight on the dance floor, while Taehyung and YN laughed at Jungkook's overly enthusiastic moves.
But even in the middle of the fun, Yoongi kept his guard up. He couldn't shake the feeling that something wasn't right, his sharp eyes occasionally darting toward Joo-young, who was laughing and drinking like he had no care in the world.
As the night progressed, Namjoon clinked his glass with Joo-young's, smiling. "Happy birthday, man. Here's to more memories."
Joo-young grinned widely, raising his glass. "To more memories, indeed."
Yoongi watched them closely, silently hoping his instincts were wrong. But the uneasy feeling in his gut told him this wasn't just a normal reunion.
As the night came to an end, everyone decided to wrap things up and head back to the hotel. Well, almost everyone.
Just as they stepped out of the club, Joo-young turned to Namjoon. "Hey, Namjoon, let's go," he said casually.
Namjoon looked at him, confused. "Go? Go where?"
Joo-young rolled his eyes with a sigh. "Seriously? You forgot you promised we'd grab some drinks together," he said, as if reminding a forgetful friend.
Namjoon blinked, a bit surprised. "Oh... right. I guess it slipped my mind. But we can have some more drinks here, at the club," he suggested.
Joo-young shook his head firmly. "Nah, there's a bar near the airport with the best drinks. Trust me, we should go there instead."
Namjoon hesitated for a moment, glancing back at his siblings, who were busy talking and getting ready to leave. "I don't know, man," he said slowly. "It's getting pretty late, and I don't want to disappear on my brothers and sister."
