The Fall: used to describe the beginning of the end, when walkers began roaming the earth in February 2010, i.e. the apocalypse.
Alexandria: a walled community in Alexandria, Virginia, led by the Monroe family and later, survivors under the group of Rick Grimes. seized in late-2015 by Commonwealth soldiers and abandoned shortly after.
The Hilltop: a walled farming community in Culpeper, Virginia, led by a local business owner until seized in late-2015 by Commonwealth soldiers and abandoned shortly after.
The Sanctuary: a former factory turned into a community following the fall, led by survivor Negan Smith. in mid-2015, the community became inhabitable due to difficulties of the land's inability to farm. it was left abandoned by its survivors.
The Colony: a military-founded community in Newark, New Jersey. active in 2018 and thriving with survivors.
