Hunter x Hunter // ONE SHOTS

~Surprise Brother~

A/N: I got inspired by this little article off of Google, dunno if it's canon or not but it's a fun story to write!

It was a casual normal day for Gon and his friend Killua, they were sitting on the sofa in the living room playing video games.

"I'm going to beat you this time Killua! I've been practicing" Gon says with determination as his fingers are tapping fast and heavily on the controller, and his body leaning forward with anticipation.

"Pff-yeah right-" Killua was interrupted when the game made a chime sound meaning the game has ended, and Gon has in fact beaten him.

He stared at the screen in disbelief, and turned toward Gon with the same shocked expression as he saw his friend jumping up and down in excitement, cheering.

"Woooo!!! I won! I won! I won!" Gon cried whilst doing a silly little dance.

Killua chuckled.

"You always seem to get ahead of me, huh?" He grinned.

Gon stopped dancing and faced towards Killua.

"What do you mean?" He shrugged.

Just then, the doorbell rang which startled the two boys.

"Who's that?" Killua tilts his head.

"I'll go get it!" Gon dumped the controller on to the sofa and ran to the door.

"Hi , how can I help you?-" Gon said while opening up the door and faced an unfamiliar man he's never seen before, but the man was smiling at him, he had slightly tanned skin just like Gon's, and his hair was spiky and a dark green colour hint towards it but not sticking up like Gon's, and he had brown eyes.

"What's up my lil bro? I'm back!!" The man cried, squeezing Gon into a hug.

Gon was very much taken back by the sudden gesture, as his face cringed as the man lifted him up and squeezing him to death.

"Uhhh....who are you?" Gon says with a straining voice.

"Ooh sorry, didn't mean to bear hug you heh, I'm Hiro! Your big brother!! Don't you remember me?!" Hiro exclaimed.

Gon stood there with his jaw dropped.

"Hey Gon who's at the-" Killua came forth but stopped once he noticed the strange man, holding Gon by his arms.

Killua suddenly got overprotective and anger, he slapped the man's arms away and pulled Gon closer to him.

"Who are you and what do you want with Gon?" He snarled.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Obsessive much? I'm here to see my little brother" Hiro said as he stuffed his hands in his pocket.

Killua eyed him up and down.

"Gon doesn't have a brother, let alone any siblings now shoo" Killua shooed Hiro with his hand.

"I have a b-brother?" Gon whispered in shock.

Killua turned toward him.

"Do you actually believe this man? He's probably here to kidnap you or for ransom!" Killua said.

"Well I mean...he does look like me...a bit" Gon says sheepishly.

Killua groaned.

"Prove it" he demanded .

"Sorry what?" Hiro said.

"Prove your Gon's brother" Killua repeated.

"You're such a pain kid..." Hiro sighed and went into his backpack and brought out his passport.

"do you think this is some security check?" Hiro said, handing it to Killua. Killua only glared at him and opened the passport to see his picture and name.

Killua saw his ID and read his name on the passport....it can't be, this is impossible.

"Gon...look" Killua shows Gon Hiro's picture and his last name.

Gon looked at it with dismay.

"Freecss? As in ...." Gon was speechless.

"I really am your brother Gon, I don't blame you though since you were only a baby. Before our father left...Ging, I was all he had, but then you came along and he was indeed happy, but he couldn't see himself raising a child anymore. So he left you with Mito" Hiro explained.

"Yeah we know that doofus-" Killua said in a sassy tone.

"No...Mito decided to take custody of me from Ging, basically told him to leave" Gon explained.

Both Hiro and Killua had sympathetic looks.

"I'm sorry I wasn't around so much Gon, so much so that you've forgotten about me, but I was away for business, so I wasn't home all the time" Hiro said, sadly.

Gon lightly smiled.

"It's ok, I've always wanted a sibling so I'm happy about that, and don't blame yourself, Ging never really mentioned you anyway" Gon slightly chuckled, so did Hiro.

"Oh! Where are my manners? Please come in!" Gon pulled Hiro inside and Killua followed suit.

"So who's this white haired lad?" Hiro asked.

"This is my best friend in the whole world! Killua!" Gon says as he introduced him.

"Remember that name when you face your death" Killua threatens.

Gon nudges Killua in the arm.

"Killua! Be nice!" He scolded

Hiro laughed, not phased by Killua's words.

"You two are cute" he chuckled.

Killua suddenly pounced on Hiro.

"KILLUA STOP!!" Gon whines as he tries to get his friend off his long lost big brother.
