Amren's POV
After our fight, Jess and I decided to order some pizza and watch our favorite series together. We had started Lucifer a couple of days ago, and we were both obsessed with it. It felt like the perfect way to unwind and reconnect after the tension between us.
"Pizza is here!" Jess called out, her voice cheerful as she walked into the living room holding the warm pizza box. I looked up from my phone and flashed her a smile, instantly feeling my mood lift at the sight of her. We both grabbed a slice, the delicious aroma wafting through the air, and I started the series.
We settled under a cozy blanket on the sofa, the warmth wrapping around us like a comforting hug. As we munched on our pizza, I turned to her and said playfully, "Hmmm... this tastes ALMOST as good as you." A cheeky grin spread across my face, and I realized I had pizza sauce smeared on both sides of my mouth.
Jess chuckled, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "I can say the same about you," she flirted back, her voice light and teasing. A blush crept up my cheeks; she was so cute when she was like this.
For the next couple of hours, we laughed and watched the show, occasionally stealing kisses in between. Jess would lean in to plant a soft kiss on my cheek, and I felt warmth spreading through my chest. I tried to immerse myself in the moment, to push aside the lingering thoughts about Professor Olsen and our upcoming study sessions, but my mind kept drifting.
Just then, Jess turned toward me, her gaze intense and inviting. She leaned in, pressing her lips against mine. The kiss deepened as I felt her soft hands explore my sides, igniting a fire within me. I responded eagerly, my hands moving to her waist, pulling her closer. It felt so good to reconnect like this after our earlier argument.
With a sudden surge of desire, I grabbed the remote and paused the series, my heart racing as the silence enveloped us. Jess looked at me, her eyes filled with expectation and warmth, and without needing to say a word, we both moved in sync.
I traced my fingers along her delicious curves, savoring every inch of her body. I kissed her neck, my lips gliding over her skin, eliciting a soft moan that sent shivers down my spine. Jess responded with soft gasps, encouraging me to explore further.
As my hands continued to wander, I felt her body responding to my touch, heat radiating between us. Our kisses grew more fervent, filled with an urgency that matched the pounding of my heart. I felt her fingers threading through my hair, pulling me closer as our breaths quickened.
I took my time, wanting to memorize the way her body moved against mine, the way her skin felt warm and alive under my touch. I kissed down her collarbone, my lips trailing lower as I sought out every sensitive spot that made her sigh. Jess wrapped her legs around me, pulling me into her as our bodies became lost in each other.
As we sank deeper into the moment, my thoughts began to drift once again, unbidden, to Professor Olsen. I tried to suppress the feelings that bubbled to the surface, but it was as if my mind had a mind of its own. I couldn't help but imagine that Jess was her, her dark hair cascading down her shoulders, her cool demeanor replaced by soft gasps and moans.
My body responded instinctively, moving in rhythm with Jess as I imagined a different scenario—one filled with forbidden passion and tension. I felt a twinge of guilt as I kissed Jess more deeply, my mind racing between the two of them. I wanted to stop and focus entirely on Jess, but my imagination was too powerful, pulling me deeper into a fantasy I couldn't escape.
As the moment reached its peak, we both let go of everything, surrendering to the pleasure coursing through us. The waves of ecstasy washed over me, but beneath it all, a storm of confusion brewed within. I found myself gasping for breath, my heart racing not just from the intimacy we had shared, but from the realization that my desires were more complicated than I had anticipated.
After we caught our breath, I slipped of the couch to grab a glass of water, my heart still pounding in my chest. I couldn't shake the feeling that I wanted something—or someone—else, even as I cared deeply for Jess. The conflict inside me swirled, leaving me feeling lost. Why did love have to be so complicated? Why did I feel this way?
As I returned to the living room, Jess was lounging comfortably on the couch, her hair slightly tousled and a satisfied smile playing on her lips. The way the soft light from the lamp illuminated her face made her look even more radiant. I handed her a glass of water, and she took a sip, her eyes never leaving mine.
"Thanks, babe," she said, her voice softening. "I know we've had a rough day, but moments like these make it all worth it, don't you think?"
I nodded, settling back down beside her, and she leaned her head on my shoulder. I could feel the tension from earlier slowly melting away as we resumed our relaxed position under the blanket. I wrapped my arm around her, pulling her closer, and she nestled into me, fitting perfectly against my side.
"I really love this show," she said, glancing at the paused screen. "But I love this even more," she added, gesturing between us with a playful smile.
"Yeah, me too," I replied, my heart swelling with affection. I wanted to cherish this moment, to let go of everything else.
We sat in comfortable silence for a few moments, simply enjoying each other's presence. I could feel her heartbeat against me, steady and calm. It was moments like this that reminded me why I loved her—why we had a connection that felt so genuine.
"I've been thinking," she said suddenly, breaking the silence, "about how we can spend more time together. I want us to do more fun things—like mini-golf or movie nights with friends."
"That sounds great! I'm all for it," I said, forcing a smile even though my mind was still tangled in its own chaos.
She smiled softly, leaning in to give me another kiss.
As we resumed our show, I felt a bit lighter, though my mind still flickered back to thoughts of Professor Olsen. I tried to focus on Jess, on our cozy evening, reminding myself that love could be complicated, but it was also worth it.
The warmth of the moment wrapped around us as we laughed at the antics on screen, and I took a deep breath, savoring the happiness that filled the room. The world outside could wait; right now, all that mattered was this—us, together.
