And he had the face of all my enemies
Of everyone who ever tried to make me doubt myself
Of everyone who ever tried to cut my wings so i couldn't reach the sky
That's what was about all the damn time
I've met the devil and he had your eyes
Who had me thinking i could be yours for the night
And now i recognize
All the patterns
All the lies
That hide behind the scenes
Everything that ever happened was a lesson for me to learn

Who i thought i could trust but who made me tiptoe
I've met the devil and he had so much to make me fear him
But the joke's was on him
Cause he was afraid of me
