29 - Realize

After classes, the school officers left in the school for a meeting. It's 5 in the evening and I was the only one in the school officer's office.

Habang nag-aayos ako ng mga papeles para sa mga events na mangyayari ngayong patapos na semester ay hindi ko pa rin maialis sa isip ko ang lahat ng nangyari.

Cassy confessed, Iya told her background about her family, my friends are staying away from me, and I can't determine my feelings.

I like Iya, pero habang tumatagal, hindi ko nakikita sa kaniya ang dating Iya na nakilala ko. I admit, I like her as a person. Not in a romatic way.

For now, I can't tell what I feel for Cassy. She's being opaque. I can't totally read her.

Tinapos ko ang lahat ng mga gawain at bumaba na din para makauwi na sana nang may maabutan pa ako sa hagdan.

She is slowy walking down the stairs. Tulala at parang wala sa sarili. Maya-maya pa ay natapilok na siya at hindi ko na napigilang lapitan siya.

"Are you okay?" I worriedly asked.

She looked at me with teary eyes and pulled her hand off mine. "Why are you making it hard for me not to like you?"

Napaiwas ako ng tingin sa kaniya. "Do you hurt your foot? I'll bring you to the hospi--"

"Why?" She cut me. "Gusto mong hindi kita magustuhan pero ikaw mismo ang nagtutulak sakin na magustuhan ka! Please, stop being nice to me!" Sabi niya habang nanginginig. I know why she is shaking, she's stopped herself not to cry in front of me.

"I'm sorry," I said.

"Yun lang ba gusto mong sabihin? Sorry?" She smirked. "Well, apology rejected."

"Cass," someone said from behind. We looked at that voice came from and saw Hiro. Lumapit siya sa amin. "What are you guys doing here?" He asked.

Cassy just stared at me while I can't look straight to her eyes and walked away from us.

Hiro looked at me and after seconds, he punched me. Hindi na ako nagulat.

He stared at me with irritation. "I hate you, dude."

"I'm not asking you to love me, anyway." I said with sarcasm.

"We are talking seriously." He said. "You just rejected her feelings towards you."

I looked at him. "What do you want me to do then? Effin' love her uninterestly?"

He punched me again and I almost taste the blood in my lips. "You are not being you, Ethan Niccolo. Ganun na ba ang impluwensiya sayo nung Iya na yun? Ha?! Eh parang ginawa ka na atang gago ng taong iyon e!" He shouted at me. Hindi ko na napigilan pang suntuking siya pabalik. Jessica came in to the picture and stopped me.

"Wag mong idamay ang taong wala namang kinalaman sa problema namin!" I said coldly at him.

Pinunasan niya ang dugo sa gilid ng labi niya. "Sa tingin mo wala siyang kinalaman?" Ngumisi siya. "F*ck! Dahil sa kaniya nagkalayo-layo tayong tatlo!"

"Bakit ba ganun ang pakikitungo niyo sa tao?! Hindi niyo naman siya ganun kakilala para manghusga ng iba!"

"Ikaw ang hindi nakakakilala sa kaniya, Niccos!" Jessica shouted. We looked at her. "Hindi mo ba alam Niccos? Hindi maganda ang dinudulot ng babaeng iyan sayo! She's a bitch to others yet an angel when it comes to you. Don't you think she have an hidden agenda? Do you think she was Iya six years ago?"

Natahimik ako.

"Listen, Savino, if I were you, I'll get to know who really she is before I like her." Then they left me astounded.

As I arrived at the mansion, I went to Dad's office and usually, he was asking me want do I need.

"Really Dad? Is it necessary that I will just go here because I need something?" I said with sarcasm. Nagkibit balikat lamang siya at inalukan ako ng beer. I just nodded at him and filled my glass.

"So? What now?" He asked.

I sighed. "Do you get to know Mom better before you love her?" I asked him out of curiousity.

"Ah, that tells your bruise in the side of your lips."He said.

"Just answer my question."

Dad smiled. Remembering his past with Mom. "Your Mom?" He said. "She's kind yet a big headache." He shook his head. "But I love her."

"My question," I said. "You didn't answered my question."

He looked at me while shaking his glass. "Is that so?" He smirked. "As I always say to you, find it by yourself."

Napakunot noo ko at dire-diretso na lang ininom ang beer na nasa baso ko at tumayo na. "Night, Dad." Paalam ko at tumango na lang siya.

I went to a shower and refreshen up  myself. What happens lately was really bothering me.

Nang bumalik nanaman sa utak ko ang mga sinabi sa akin ni Cassy at Jessica ay napamulat ako mula sa pagkakapikit at mas nilakasan ang shower. Do you really like me, Cassy?

After I took a bath, I went to bed. Mulat na mulat pa ako at hindi makatulog.

Love is not in my dictionary. Kaya hindi ko gaano alam ang mga tanong sa isip ko. Yes, I admit, I was just using my brain not my heart. Kaya hindi ko namamalayan, may napapaasa na pala ako.

I looked at my phone. I went to the messages and clicked her name.

The last message was when she said that she love me.

Paulit-ulit ko iyong binasa hanggang sa pumasok sa isip ko na biktima pala siya ng kamanhidan ko. I must say that I'm such an idiot.

I tap the text box and type something.

Hello.

After a while, I deleted it. Ang tanga ko naman para mag-hello sa kaniya.

Then I tried something else.

Are you still awake?

Binura ko ulit iyon at nasapok ko na lang sa noo ko ang cellphone ko. Bakit naman ako magtetext ng ganung klase? It's either kapag nagreply siya ay gising pa siya or not when she did not.

Then later on, typed again something that will surely not be deleted.

Good night. :)

After that, I send it to her. I know that I am being idiotic but then I realize something that answers one of my questions.

Minutes passed my phone vibrated and I quickly looked at it hoping that she replied back.

...

That what she replied but, that was a big deal to me. Napangiti na lang ako at pumunta sa photos ko. I searched for our picture together and made it as my wallpaper.

That night, I slept well and saw her in my dreamland.
