The library was quiet, save for the soft rustling of pages and the occasional tap of a keyboard. I was tucked away in my usual spot, surrounded by textbooks and notes, trying my best to focus on an upcoming exam.

But, as always, my mind kept wandering.

Specifically, to him.

C/N had a way of sneaking into my thoughts even when I was trying to be productive. He had this frustrating ability to distract me without even being in the room. And right now, I didn't need any distractions.

Just as I turned back to my notes, I caught a glimpse of movement out of the corner of my eye. I glanced up—and there he was.

Leaning in the doorway.

C/N was casually leaning against the doorframe, one arm propped up while the other was in his pocket, that signature smirk of his plastered across his face. His eyes were locked on me, and the moment our gazes met, I could feel my heart skip a beat.

I tried to ignore the way he made my stomach flutter, focusing instead on the book in front of me. Maybe if I pretended not to care, he'd go away.

But of course, that wasn't his style.

"Hey, you," he said, his voice smooth and teasing. "Looks like you're working hard over here."

I didn't look up, trying to play it cool. "Some of us have to study, you know."

He chuckled, and I heard the sound of his footsteps as he approached. "Studying's overrated. Besides, I thought you could use a little break."

I still didn't look up, determined to stay focused on my work. "Not interested."

His laugh was soft, and then I felt him. He leaned down, hovering just over my shoulder, his breath tickling my ear as he whispered, "Not even for me?"

I bit my lip, trying to ignore the goosebumps that formed along my arms. "Not even for you," I muttered, hoping my voice didn't betray how much I was interested.

C/N moved to stand in front of me, blocking my view of the table and crossing his arms, clearly not taking the hint. "Come on, Y/N. You've been studying for hours. You're gonna burn out."

I finally looked up, raising an eyebrow at him. "How do you know how long I've been here?"

He shrugged, that smirk still firmly in place. "I've been keeping an eye on you."

I rolled my eyes, fighting the smile threatening to break through. "Stalker much?"

"Only for you," he shot back without missing a beat, leaning a little closer.

There was something about the way he looked at me—like he knew exactly what he was doing. He was impossible to resist when he got like this, and he knew it.

I sighed, setting my pen down and leaning back in my chair. "Alright, fine. What do you want?"

C/N's smirk widened as he reached down, gently tugging my chair back, giving himself room to lean down and place both hands on the armrests. He was so close now, his face just inches from mine, and the way his eyes searched mine made my heart race even faster.

"I just wanted to see you," he said, his voice soft but still teasing.

I tried to play it off, but the way his eyes were locked on mine made it impossible to stay unaffected. "You're such a flirt, you know that?"

His grin softened, and for a second, I thought I saw something more serious flicker behind his playful gaze. "Only with you."

The words were simple, but the way he said them made my breath hitch. He wasn't just flirting—there was something real there, something that made my chest tighten.

Before I could respond, he leaned in just a little closer, his lips almost brushing mine, but not quite.

"Still want me to leave?" he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper.

I swallowed hard, trying to hold on to my resolve. But with him this close, it was a losing battle.

"Maybe," I whispered back, even though we both knew the answer.

He chuckled softly, and then, without warning, he closed the gap between us, pressing his lips to mine in a kiss that was both soft and urgent. The feeling of his mouth on mine was enough to make everything else fade away—the textbooks, the studying, the world outside.

It was just him.

And I didn't want him to leave.
