Chapter Twenty-Five
The gym buzzed with energy as students practiced all around, preparing for the upcoming Annual Sports Day. The school had canceled classes for the day to allow everyone to focus on the events, and there was excitement in the air. Hanna’s basketball team had just wrapped up their practice session, sweat dripping down their faces as they huddled together near the court.
“That was a good session,” Lauren said, wiping her forehead with the back of her hand. “We’re getting better each day. We’ll be ready for Grace and her team.”
“I don’t know about you guys,” Maggie chimed in, “but I could use a break.”
Hanna nodded in agreement, her body sore but her spirits high. Just then, Jenny appeared with her usual cheerful grin, bouncing on her heels. She was dressed in her cheerleading outfit, looking ready to conquer the world.
“Hey, team!” Jenny called out, waving as she approached. “I’ve got someone I want you all to meet.”
She stepped aside, and a group of cheerleaders appeared behind her, all wearing matching outfits. The girls smiled and waved, looking equally excited. “This is my squad. We’re the ones cheering you guys on for Sports Day and of course the male version kg you!”
Lauren raised an eyebrow, intrigued. “You guys are the official cheerleaders?”
Jenny nodded enthusiastically. “Yup! And we’re going to make sure the whole school knows how awesome you girls are when you take down Grace’s team.”
Hanna smiled, feeling a little more confident knowing Jenny and her cheerleaders had their backs. “Thanks, Jenny. We’re going to need all the support we can get.”
“No worries,” Jenny said with a wink. “We’ve got this.”
After a few more moments of chatting and exchanging ideas on how they could combine their efforts, the girls decided it was time to head back to the locker room to change into their uniforms. The plan was to grab a quick snack before watching some of the other teams practice.
“I’m starving,” Rachel groaned, rubbing her stomach. “Let’s hurry up.”
But as they made their way toward the locker room, they noticed something unusual. Shane and a group of his friends were standing by the entrance, laughing and talking as if they owned the place.
Hanna felt her stomach drop. She hadn’t seen Shane up close since their awkward encounter the other day, and she really wasn’t in the mood to deal with him right now. The girls tried to pass by quietly, but Shane and his group noticed them immediately.
“Well, look who it is,” Shane said, smirking as he stepped forward. His friends snickered behind him. “The basketball squad.”
Hanna crossed her arms and stared him down. “We need to change. Move out of the way.”
Shane didn’t budge. Instead, he leaned casually against the locker room door, blocking their path. “What’s the rush? Why don’t you just change right here?”
Hanna’s eyes narrowed. “We’re not playing this game, Shane. Get out of the way.”
But Shane’s smirk only widened, and his friends chuckled as they watched the exchange. “Oh come on, Hanna. You know you’d look great in front of us. You don’t need to be so uptight. Just change here and get it over with.”
The girls behind Hanna shifted uncomfortably, unsure of what to do. Rachel whispered to her, “Let’s just go to the other locker room, Hanna. It’s not worth it.”
But Hanna’s anger flared up. She wasn’t about to let Shane intimidate her or the team like that. Stepping forward, she glared at him, her voice low but firm. “I said, get out of the way. Now.”
Shane raised an eyebrow, clearly enjoying the way he was getting under her skin. “Bring her in.” Before Hanna could process what he just said, Shane's friend held Hanna pulled her into the locker room closing the door tight.
"What are we going to to?" Lauren said. "They're going to force her to take off her clothes while his goons film a video, this is not the first time they are doing that." Maggie said as her hand clutched her body, he had clearly done that to her.
"Hold on girls, I have an idea." Jenny said, she ran straight into the cafeteria, some students stared at her because she was still in her outfit but she didn't care, she ran straight to where Dominic and Kai were siting.
"Hey Jenny, are you okay?" Kai asked as his eyes watched her pant. "No I am not, Hanna needs help, it's Shane again, he and his friends are gonna force her to take off her clothes." Jenny said. "Shit not again." Kai said but Dominic remained expressionless.
"We better go fast!" Jenny said and he nodded, Both Dominic and Kai stood up and both walked behind Jenny, they got to the locker room, the other female team were there, in front were two of Shane's boys guarding the door.
"Where is she?" Kai asked. "She's in there, but they wouldn't allow us to go in." Maggie said. "Let us in." Kai said. "No way man, Shane's or..... " the guy couldn't complete his sentence when Dominic pulled his hair and hit his head on the wall, the guy fell wincing in pain. "You sick bastard." the other guy said, he was about to attack Dominic when he punched him in the nose, he then kicked open the door to find Shane boys holding Hanna who was struggling, another taking a video and Shane proceeding to pull off her shirt.
"Everyone get out!" Kai said, his voice booming in the class, they all turned to look at him and soon enough they all began laughing. "oh how cute, Kai." Shane said in a sarcastic tone. Dominic walked towards the clothes guy, punched him in the face and kicked his stomach so hard that he went flying back hitting his back on the wall, the room fell silent.
"Now, Get Out!" Dominic said, his deep voice was low and threatening sending shivers down their spine, it didn't take long before they all ran out, Kai stopped one of the boys, he took his phone and threw it out the window. "Fuck you for filming." Kai said to the guy who was clearing angry but didn't have a choice.
The class was now empty with just Shane, Hanna, Dominic and Kai. "What the hell dude, why does it bother you so much?" Shane said. "Don't you dare do that to anyone again." Dominic said, his pretty face held a bit of anger. "or what Dom, kill me or beat me up?" Shane asked.
Dominic wasn't in the mood to listen to whatever Shane had to say, He looked at the Shane's hand which was still holding Hanna, He held Shane's hand and twisted it behind his back causing Shane to fall on his knees, he was in pain, grunting and wincing. The other girls who walked in on the scene. "Apologize." Dominic said. "Fuck you." Shane manage to say. Dominic twisted it tighter caring Shane to scream.
"Now?" Dominic said. "Okay, okay, I'm sorry, I'm sorry." Shane said and Dominic released his hand, "Fuck, you psycho." he said before leaving the class. All the girls sighed in relief. "Thanks Dom and Kai," Lauren said and the others nodded. Jenny jumped to hug Kai taking him by surprise.
"Thank you so much." She said and Kai just smiled, she then pulled away and turned to Dominic with a smile. "Thank you." she said and he just nodded, The two boys walked out of the room giving them space to change.
Lauren nudged Hanna with a grin. “Looks like you’ve got your own personal bodyguard, ”
Hanna shot her a look, but her cheeks flushed slightly. “He just... helped, that’s all.”
The girls went inside to change, and as Hanna pulled off her practice clothes, she couldn’t shake off the feeling of Dominic helping her.
