Chapter forty nine.

The doctor walked into the ward, "Hanna, we've examined you already and it seems like you're stable enough so you'll be discharged today." The doctor said and I smiled.

"Really, oh my god thank you doctor, finally." I said, the doctor smiled and walked out, oh I miss the outside wind, it smells like drugs and hospital in here.

I texted Jenny that I would be discharged today and she was happy, the nurse broieght me food and water for my meds, after eating, I decided to take a quick nap, until Jenny comes.

In school

Jenny.

"Guys, Hanna is going to be discharged today." I squealed. "That's amazing, we're going to pick her up" Kai said , "Mm, I wanna buy a cake. A happy recovery cake." Jenny said. "A cake?" Dominic asked and I nodded.

"Yep, strawberry slash chocolate cake, this time with no peanuts but chips." I said, I remember that day like it was yesterday. "Yep, we can get that ready." Kai said and I nodded.

Class went smoothly, of course I told miss Gemma about Hanna and she was also happy, after school, the three of us went to a nearby cake shop to get the cake.

Claire.

I noticed Jenny's mood lately, she's been bubbly and happy, what could this be about, could it be that my sister is awake, no, no, she can't be, the last time the doctor talked about her allergy, he said she could die. She's not awake, she's just happy.

"I can't believe Dominic ditched you for some poor redhead" Chloe said, her voice laced with disgust. "I can't believe it to, he, ugh, I tried my best do climb onto his ice heart and he just threw me to the side, he can't possibly be in love with her?" Sarah asked.

"I know right, Dominic has never been with a girl since birth, rumors has it that he's either gay or allergic to women." Chloe said and Sarah rolled her eyes. "Stupid rumors, he's not gay neither is he allergic to women, he just doesn't get along with humans." Sarah said.

"And I heard that Kai and Jenny are kinda dating, I mean they are a perfect match." Chloe said. "Fuck those stupid rumors, they are not my problem, my problem is get Dominic or get the fuck out." Sarah shouted.

"I'm sorry if I angered you." Chloe quickly apologised. "What the fuck are you even thinking about?" Sarah's voice woke me up from my trance. "I'm thinking okay." I said, with my sister back, everything is going to be a mess.

"And what is it?" She asked me and I sighed. "Jenny has been quite happy lately, I don't know but I'm thinking my sister is awake, that explains why the three of them leaves school together to an unknown place." I said.

"Chill out sister, you heard she is in a coma, no one wakes up from a coma that early, we should be expecting a year or two, don't worry, worry about my problems." Sarah said patting my back and I sighed. "Okay." I said.

"That's good, I'm in need of a Champaign, Bar this night." Sarah said. "Ooooh, I'm loving this." Chloe said and I nodded. "Fine, we'll drink, forget and definitely come up with a plan." I said and they smiled. "I knew you'd come in handy." Sarah said before walking away.

Jenny.

We picked up the cake and headed to the hospital, when we got there, Hanna was already dressed in a black T shirt and blue jean, her hair was packed in a ponytail, she was looking better and her face shined brighter.

"Hi, looks like you're set for leaving." I said and we both hugged. "Of course, I was so bored." She said with a smiled, oh the smiled that I've longed for is back. "Here, this is a celebratory cake. " I said. "Aww, that's so sweet of you guys" Hanna said.

"So where do you want to go, home?" I asked her. "no, I'm not ready yet, can I crash at your place?" she asked. "Is that a question? Hex yeah." I said and she smiled, Dominic wenr out to receive a call, he came back.

"Um, I have to leave," He said, the guy is not really the best at giving details in his words. "Is everything okay?" Kai asked. "Just need to be at Dana's school." He said. "Dana? Is she okay?" Kai asked again.

"Yeah, just a little misunderstanding, don't worry, you can accompany them." With that he walked out of the hospital. Kai and I helped Hanna down the stairs and into the car. It took her some time to walk properly, lying on the bed for and month and a half is not easy.

We took her to my home, my mum was so ecstatic to see Hanna. "Oh Hanna, you're awake, how are you?" My mom said giving Hanna a hug. "I'm fine thank you".

After Jenny's mom hugged Hanna, she guided her to the living room, where we set the cake down on the coffee table. The room felt warm and welcoming, filled with a comforting scent of vanilla and a hint of lavender. Hanna looked around, clearly touched by the warmth of the home and the effort we'd made.

"Sit down, Hanna," Jenny's mom said, gesturing to the cozy couch. "You must be exhausted."

Hanna settled onto the couch with a sigh. "Thank you so much, Mrs. Collins. It feels incredible to be out of the hospital and here with all of you."

Jenny handed Hanna a slice of cake, with the words Happy Recovery beautifully scripted on top in chocolate icing. Hanna's eyes sparkled as she took it in.

"This is perfect," she said, her voice soft, almost as if she was talking to herself. "Thank you all so much."

Kai, sitting next to her, nudged her shoulder lightly. "Only the best for you, Hanna."

Hanna took a small bite, and her face lit up. "Oh wow, this is amazing. I forgot how good real food tasted," she said with a laugh.

Jenny chuckled. "I had to make sure it was strawberry-chocolate without peanuts this time," she teased, making Hanna laugh again.

They all ate cake, shared stories, and laughed together. For a moment, it felt like life had hit pause on all their worries. The atmosphere was filled with joy, and any remaining weight from Hanna's hospital stay began to fade.
