Surprise kiss

Chapter forty five.

  Jenny.

A month have passed and Hanna is still unconscious. I was really sad but thank god I had Kai and Domimic by my side or I would have lost it.

   Hanna's team mates sent her a get ready soon gifts, flowers and the rest. I walked into class, my eyes landed on the empty seat. I can't believe it's a month and two weeks.

    "Hey Jen." I heard Kai's voice and I smiled, I walked towards their seat and sat on an empty chair, lately Kai and I have become very close and I wouldn't lie I have a thing for him, any time we're together or when he talks to me, my heart skip a beat. I tired to stop myself from thinking we could be more than friends but it was impossible.

    "Hi guys." I said and Dominic nodded. "I can't believe it's a month and two weeks, when is Hanna going to wake up." I said and Kai took my hand. "she's going to wake up." Kai told me. "Be patient and have faith." Dominic said and I don't know but we have grown a tinny winny close i guess, he now talks to me.

    "Okay." I said. School has been quite boring and quiet, I even took a break from my social media because of how bumped I've been feeling lately, they also wish Hanna a good recovery.

     Today went by like any other day, when we were done with class we went to the cafeteria, Claire walked past us, triped over nothing and dumped water on my clothes. "Oops, sorry." she said in a mocking tone before she turned around to leave.

     "hey! Apologise for what you did." I said and she turned to look at me. "Me? Apologise, you must be joking." She said, just as she was about to touch me, Kai held her hand firm. "You heard her, apologise." he said, his voice darkened. "Let go of me you pervert." Claire spat out angrily.

     "Not until you apologise." he said said, she tried pulling her hand from his grip but Kai didn't bulge. "Over my dead body." Claire said and Kai twisted her hands behind her back, Claire screamed in pain. "Let me go!" She shouted. "I said apologise." Kai said, his tone not changing. Shane got up from his seat and walked up to us.

     "What the fuck man, let her go!" Shane shouted at Kai but he didn't listen, he wanted to come after Kai but Dominic beat him to it, he held his shirt. "Not another step." Dominic said to him. "fuck you." Shane said, he was about to take another step when Dominic shoved him to the back making him fall.

    "I said, what the show." Dominic's voice was low and treathning, Shane couldn't do anything than to watch his pathetic girlfriend.

     "Fine, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, let me go!" Claire said. "Louder." Kai said holding her hands tighter. "I'm sorry." Claire said it loud enough for everyone to hear and Kai released her hand, he pushed her to where Shane was and then walked towards me.

    He took off his jacket and wore it on me. "let's get you changed." he said before holding my hands and leading me out of the cafeteria, my heart was pounding in my chest, what was this that I was feeling,  does Kai like me? Why would he do that? Million questions popped up in my head, I didn't understand my emotions at this point.

    We stopped in front of the school's changing room, they had spare uniforms in there. "Here, go change." he said, his voice pulled me back to reality. "Oh." I said before walking into the room. I picked a new shirt and changed into it.

     After that we went to the cafeteria then back to class, I still couldn't shake of the feeling that Kai might have a crush on me or was it just a friendly gesture. I was becoming delusional at each point. School officially ended, today my mum called me to do something important so I can not go to the hospital to see Hanna, it hurts me but I'll go early tomorrow.

    "Let me drop you off home today, I brought my car." Kai said with a smiled. "What happened to Dominic's?" I asked. "he's going to a meeting with his Dad so, I'm quite free for the night." He said and I smiled. I walked into the car and he drove off. He stopped at this cute shop to get is ice cream and cup cakes, my favourite then we stopped at an empty park near my house.

    "Why the sudden adventure?" I asked taking a spoon out of my ice cream. "To make you feel better, ever since hanna got to the hospital, that bubbly Jenny disappeared." He said to me and I just smiled.

    "Sorry," that was all that came out from my mouth, just then my mum called me. "I'm sorry, I have to leave now, mum emergency." I said and he nodded. "But, thank you for these, There're amazing, definitely cheered me up," I said with the widest smiled ever and he smiled back, I turned to leave but he held my hand.

    I turned back to him, he stared at me, just then he pulled me closer to him as if he wanted to hug me, he held my face in his hand and leaned in to kiss me. I was dumbfounded, Kai and I are kissing,  Ah! I screamed in my head, soon I found my hand wrapping around his neck as we kissed further not wanting it to end.

    My phone buzzed causing Kai to pull away. We stared at each other. "I'm sorry, I have to go." I said my voice low and he nodded, I waved a good bye before turning to leave, my heart was beating fast and I couldn't help smiling on the way home. Ah what a perfect way to end the day.
