Sebastian is sitting on my sofa. "Get Kyle sorted?"

I nod, "He is my Beta and Nix's cousin."

He nods and taps his nose. "I got that. He okay with it?"

"I think so. But first things first I need to deal with Marin. She will not be allowed anywhere close to our mate."

Sebastian smiles at me. "I know of a school..."

I smile back. "The Covent. How do you know of it?"

"Every ruling family in the realm has required its services at one time or another. Mine is no different."

"Will it help?" I ask. Marin might threaten my Luna but she's still my sister.

"Time and distance may be the only aid she needs. But I cannot guarantee anything. Neither can you until you talk to her."

"But was she right? Can Nix be my Luna?"

Sebastian chuckles. "Nymphs are more mothering and nurturing than any she-wolf you've met. We'll need to give her cubs, or she'll be bringing home orphans." He sighs. "She probably will anyway."

"Do we need to worry about that?" I ask even as Jagger howls at the idea of getting her with a pup.

"Worry? About getting her pregnant?"

"About what she'll birth."

Sebastian shakes his head. "The males will be wolf or cat," he explains to me. "The females will be sprite, or cat," he sighs, "or wolf." He points at my light hair and his black hair. "It should be pretty obvious which one of us is the father."

"Will it matter?" I frown. Wolves cared about all pups. We took in orphans without a thought.

He chuckles, "Only when it comes time for them to shift. Otherwise, no. Cub, pup or sprite, they will be equally loved and cared for."

"How are we going to explain it to them?"

"Let's not worry about that yet," he tells me. "Besides, knowing Nix, she will tell us how we are dealing with it."

I chuckle. "She is rather headstrong, isn't she."

"The longer she's away from Becca, the more the real Nix is coming out," he says. "So far, I have not been disappointed."

"We'll have to keep her in the supernatural realm as much as we can." I want to wrap her in layers of protection, but I know she will fight it. Instead, I plan to keep her busy. Too busy to think about the human realm.

"That won't be a problem," Sebastian informs me. "She never fit in anyway. She is much more at home here."

"Home enough to go into heat?" I ask. She-wolves go into heat after they shift for the first time then once or twice a year after.

"She's not a wolf that way," he tells me. "She's a sprite. Sprites are, reproduction wise, mostly human."

"So, she can get pregnant any time?"

He grins at me. "We have a chance every month."

"Can you smell it?" I ask. Wolves can smell the hormonal changes inside their mate when she is ovulating. But I'm not sure if I will be able to tell with her. So much of her scent is strange and hidden.

He nods, "I've been there through her whole coming of age. I will point it out to you, so you know the smell."

I grin. "Then we go to work."
