Jungkook's heart was practically racing out of his chest. He could feel the weight of the situation settling on his shoulders. He'd been caught, and now he was being handed off to the groom's brother. The way Jin grinned when he called for Taehyung made Jungkook's stomach twist. He knew something was up.

Taehyung approached him with a lazy smile, his arm already stretching out as he reached for Jungkook.

"Come, Hoyoon-shii!" Taehyung chuckled, slinging his arm around Jungkook's shoulders like they were the best of friends. His tone was playful, but the grin on his face was downright mischievous.

Jungkook nearly tripped as Taehyung pulled him along. What the hell am I supposed to do now? he panicked internally, but outwardly, he kept his cool.

"Uh, yeah, sure!" he replied, trying to match Taehyung's casual tone. Don't blow your cover, Jungkook!

As they walked through the party, Taehyung leaned in a little closer, his voice dropping slightly, "So, Hoyoon-shii, how long have you known Namjoon hyung?"

Jungkook swallowed. "Oh, you know... long enough," he said, his voice a little too high-pitched to sound believable.

Taehyung chuckled softly, his breath warm against Jungkook's ear.

"Long enough, huh? Funny. I've never heard of you before." His voice was teasing, and Jungkook could feel the heat rising in his cheeks.

"Well, I'm kind of... low-key," Jungkook muttered, trying to keep up with the act.

"Low-key? You don't seem very low-key to me." Taehyung glanced down at him, his gaze sharp but amused. "You're crashing a wedding and pretending to be someone's friend. That's... pretty bold of you, sweetheart."

Jungkook flinched, his heart skipping a beat. He knew he'd been caught, but the playful glint in Taehyung's eyes was making it hard to think straight.

"I-I don't know what you're talking about," Jungkook stammered, trying to maintain his fake confidence.

Taehyung smirked, giving him a light squeeze on the shoulder.

"Relax, I'm not gonna throw you out. Yet," he teased, his deep voice sending a shiver down Jungkook's spine. "But you're gonna have to play along with me if you want to stick around."

Jungkook blinked, his mind racing. "Play along? What do you mean?"

"Simple," Taehyung replied, his eyes glinting with amusement. "We're gonna have a little fun. Since you want to be my brother's old friend, you're going to be my new friend now."

Before Jungkook could protest, Taehyung steered them toward a group of party guests, his grin widening.

"Everyone, this is Hoyoon, Namjoon hyung's very close friend from college." Taehyung's emphasis on "very close" made Jungkook's stomach drop.

The group turned their attention to Jungkook, smiling and nodding as they greeted him. Jungkook forced a nervous grin and waved awkwardly. "H-Hi," he muttered, internally dying of embarrassment.

"So, Hoyoon-shii," Taehyung continued, clearly enjoying himself, "why don't you tell us a little story about Namjoon hyung from college? I'm sure you have plenty of stories, right?"

Jungkook felt his heart plummet into his stomach. "Uh, well..." His mind was blank. He had no idea what to say. "There was this one time..." he began, stalling for time, but Taehyung leaned in again, his arm still draped over Jungkook's shoulders.

Taehyung's voice dropped to a whisper, only loud enough for Jungkook to hear, "Don't worry, bunny. I won't let you fall apart that easily." He winked, sending Jungkook into a full-on blush as he bit his lip in frustration.
