As Jimin stepped into the kitchen, he gave Jungkook a once-over, flashing a mischievous smile.
“So, Mr. Married Man, ready to impress your husband with your special culinary skills?”
Jungkook shrugged, feeling a little uncertain.
“I guess so… but, uh, you’re sure you can help me with this cooking thing, right? I have never exactly cooked a whole main course dinner.”
“Oh, please,” Jimin said, waving a hand dramatically.
“You’re talking to the one and only Park Jimin. I’ve got this!” He shot Jungkook a wink, leaning in closer than necessary.
“Besides, with a face like yours, you could serve burnt toast, and he’d probably still fall for you.”
Jungkook blinked, feeling his cheeks heat up.
“Y-yeah, well I… Taehyung’s already seen my bratty side, so I need something a little more… impressive than burnt toast.”
Jimin grinned, seemingly unfazed by Jungkook’s reaction.
“No worries. With me by your side, you’ll cook up a storm. And who knows, maybe he’ll find you irresistible.”
“Uh… thanks?” Jungkook muttered, trying to ignore the weird flutter in his stomach. Jimin was certainly… enthusiastic.
Jimin moved around the kitchen, pulling out ingredients and arranging them on the counter with a flourish.
“Alright, first things first, we’re making pasta. It’s romantic, classy, and perfect for a cozy night in.”
Jungkook watched him skeptically.
“Pasta? Isn’t that, like, complicated?”
“Only if you’re doing it alone,” Jimin said, flashing another wink. “But lucky for you, you have me~”
They got to work, and before long, the kitchen was filled with the scent of garlic, tomatoes, and herbs. Jungkook chopped vegetables while Jimin stirred the sauce, keeping up a steady stream of chatter and flirty remarks that left Jungkook half-annoyed, half-amused.
“So, Jungkookie,” Jimin said, his voice dropping to a teasing tone, “how is it that a guy like you doesn’t know how to woo his own husband? You’re practically begging for tips from a master flirt like me.”
Jungkook rolled his eyes.
“Look, I’m not trying to flirt with Taehyung, okay? I just… I want him to know I’m serious.”
“Oh, you want him to know you’re serious?” Jimin said the already said(wtf?), smirking. “Well, I can tell you’re serious about being the cutest husband ever.”
“Jimin, are you flirting with me right now?” Jungkook asked, raising an eyebrow.
Jimin shrugged, feigning innocence.
“What? Can’t a guy appreciate his best friend’s friend’s... charm?” He gave Jungkook a once-over, and Jungkook felt a blush creeping up his neck. “Besides, you’ve got that whole wide-eyed, ‘I’m secretly adorable but don’t know it’ vibe going on. It’s kind of hard not to flirt.”
“Oh, my god,” Jungkook groaned, shaking his head. “You’re ridiculous.”
“Ridiculously charming,” Jimin corrected, flashing a grin as he leaned over the counter toward Jungkook, close enough that Jungkook could smell his cologne.
“But don’t worry, I’m a bottom, too. I wasn’t actually serious.”
Jungkook nearly dropped the spoon he was holding.
