As the boss reentered the hideout, expecting to confront a bound and helpless Jungkook for insulting his sister, again, his eyes quickly took in the scene: both guards slumped over, unconscious, their drinks spilled on the floor. And Jungkook—gone.
The reality hit him hard, frustration twisting into pure rage. He had assumed the blond would be an easy target, one that wouldn’t require much effort to control. But now, he could see just how wrong he had been. He was truly an idiot for this. Arghhhh!
“Useless idiots,” he muttered, casting a disgusted look at the sleeping guards before stepping out of the room and slamming the door behind him.
Without wasting a second, he called in the rest of his men. The area, a rough part of the city dominated by gang activity, was the perfect place to keep someone hidden. Even if Jungkook had managed to slip out of his hold for now, the chances of him escaping this part of the city were slim—especially for someone unfamiliar with its dangerous twists and turns.
The boss gathered his men, his voice sharp and unyielding.
“Listen up! There’s a blond kid on the run. I don’t care what it takes—find him. Don’t let him out of this area, and bring him back to me, alive.”
The men nodded in unison, the tension in the room electric as they scattered into the streets. With their orders clear, they spread out, some interrogating street vendors and others scouring nearby alleys, intent on catching any glimpse of Jungkook. The boss’s instructions were clear: no mistakes, no hesitation. And this time, he’d be ready for whatever the blond had planned.

Jungkook crouched low in the shadows of a narrow alley, his heart racing as he watched several of the boss’s men rushing out of the building he’d just escaped from. His mind was in overdrive, and panic started creeping in when he realized they were out here to find him. He took a deep, shaky breath, gripping the phone in his hand.
It was his only lifeline right now, but he had no idea who to call.
He tried to think of Taehyung’s number, anyone’s number, but in the stress of the moment, his mind went blank. Swallowing his fear, he realised, HE COULD HAVE DIRECTLY CALLED THE POLICE!
"I am truly brilliant for this." He muttered to himself in annoyance as he dialled the number.
The line connected, and after a brief pause, a familiar voice came through.
“This is Officer Park. What’s your emergency?”
Jungkook blinked in surprise.
Wait, what?!
“J-Jimin?”
There was a brief silence on the other end before Jimin’s voice lowered, tense with both relief and urgency.
“Jungkook? Don’t ask questions right now—just tell me where you are.”
Jungkook hesitated, still in shock.
“I… I don’t know exactly. It’s… it’s a part of the city I’m not familiar with. The area’s busy, but the people seem…” He swallowed, glancing around nervously.
“They don’t seem friendly, Jimin.”
Jimin quickly pieced together what he could, his heart hammering as he listened to Jungkook’s shaky description.
It was enough to give him an idea of the area.
“Alright, Jungkook. Stay exactly where you are, and keep out of sight. I’ll be there as fast as I can.”
