The sun was warm and golden over the beautiful island of Jeju, casting a soft glow over the sandy beaches and rolling hills. The wind danced lazily through the air, carrying with it the scent of the sea.
Taehyung and Jungkook stood at the edge of the beach, their luggage still at the hotel as they began their adventure. Older's well planned rest totally thrown out of the picture now.
Taehyung was holding a map, his face twisted in concentration as he scanned over it, brows furrowed.
“So… where do you want to go first?” he asked, trying to sound casual but clearly intent on getting things right.
Jungkook sighed dramatically, eyeing Taehyung with thinly veiled annoyance. He snatched the map from Taehyung’s hands, crumpling it before ripping it into pieces. The paper fluttered away in the wind, scattering across the beach.
“Much better,” Jungkook said with a satisfied smirk, his eyes glinting with mischief. “Now, my dear husband, look at me and ask the question again like a normal person.”
Taehyung blinked in disbelief. “Did you just… tear up the map? Seriously?” He stared at the shreds of paper flying away. “Jungkook, we’re in Jeju. We’re not locals. We need that map, you idiot.”
Jungkook crossed his arms defiantly, the smirk never leaving his face. “Who needs a map? That’s what makes this fun! You’re so stiff, Taehyung. Loosen up.”
Taehyung sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. His patience, already wearing thin after days of Jungkook’s chaotic behavior, was dwindling fast. “We’re going to get lost. I’m telling you now, this is a bad idea.”
“And I’m telling you,” Jungkook said, stepping closer and poking Taehyung’s chest lightly. The younger was unfazed, his eyes twinkling with mischief. “That this, Mr. Kim, is exactly what will make this trip fun!”
Taehyung let out a long sigh, rubbing his temples in exasperation. This trip is already off to a chaotic start, he thought. He knew Jungkook was spontaneous, but he hadn’t expected him to be this reckless.
“I don’t know why I agreed to this trip,” Taehyung muttered under his breath, though there was no real bite in his words. He was getting used to Jungkook’s spontaneous, reckless tendencies, even if they drove him crazy.
Jungkook shot him a quick grin over his shoulder. “Because my father-in-law insisted on sending us here to ‘bond’ or whatever,” he said, mimicking Taejoon’s deep voice with exaggerated humor. “And because you secretly enjoy spending time with me.”
Taehyung scoffed. “Sure. That must be it.”
And his words simply made him receive a deadly glare from the other male.
“Fine,” Taehyung muttered under his breath, shaking his head as he tried to regain control of the situation. “What’s your brilliant plan now, genius?”
Jungkook, now clearly energized by his victory over the map, grabbed Taehyung’s hand and pulled him forward, heading straight down a narrow path that led toward the shoreline.
“The plan, my dear Taehyungie, is to go with the flow! No plans, no maps, just pure adventure!”
Taehyung reluctantly allowed himself to be pulled along, casting one last glance over his shoulder at the remains of the map now scattered along the beach.
“We’re definitely going to get lost,” he muttered, more to himself than to Jungkook.
Jungkook, completely ignoring the concerned tone in Taehyung’s voice, began pointing at random things with exaggerated enthusiasm.
