As the dinner came to a close, Taejoon clasped his hands together with a wide grin.

“Alright, boys, I’ve decided—you're staying the night!”

Taehyung’s neutral expression slipped into one of mild distress, while Jungkook sat stiffly beside him, eyes darting toward Taehyung for guidance. Taehyung cleared his throat, attempting to offer a gentle protest. Problem wasn't about sleeping together.... it was now about sleeping together.

“Father, we didn’t exactly plan—”

“Nonsense!” Taejoon interrupted with a wave of his hand, completely ignoring Taehyung’s hesitant tone. “You’re both here now, and it’s been a while since we’ve had the whole family under one roof, even now Jungkook is here. You’ll stay. That’s final!”

Taehyung exhaled quietly, rubbing his temple as he tried to process the unexpected turn of events. He shot a look at Jungkook, who, despite his nervous demeanor, gave a small shrug, clearly feeling just as cornered as he was.

Before Taehyung could respond, Namjoon caught his attention with a subtle nod.

“Tae, can I talk to you for a second?”

Sensing Namjoon’s seriousness, Taehyung nodded and followed his elder brother out of the dining area, leaving Jungkook at the mercy of Jin, who was watching him like a predator eyeing its prey.

The moment Taehyung disappeared, Jin’s mischievous grin widened, and he sidled up to Jungkook.

“Ah, Jungkookah,” Jin said in a teasing tone, throwing an arm around his shoulder. “Finally, we get some alone time.”

Jungkook tensed, already sensing where this was going.

“Alone time?”

Jin nodded, his smile playful.

“You know, I never got the chance to properly thank you for what you did at my wedding.”

Jungkook froze. “Y-your wedding?”

Jin’s grin grew impossibly wider. “Yeah, you remember—sneaking into the reception, stuffing your face with food, giving different fake names when I tried to catch you? Honestly, it was hilarious.”

Jungkook’s face turned beet red.

“I—uh—about that…”

“You called yourself ‘Min Yoonho... or Hoyoon?,’” Jin snorted, barely holding back laughter. “I mean, really, who comes up with that?”

“I just... wanted some free food…” Jungkook muttered, mortified.

Jin patted his shoulder affectionately.

“Relax, I’m not mad! It was cute, honestly. Namjoon and I were talking about it the other day, and I said, ‘Look how far he’s come. From wedding crasher to family member.’”

Jungkook buried his face in his hands, utterly embarrassed.

“I was starving, okay? And unfortunately I happen to have my wallet empty and phone dead. I didn’t mean to... crash it.”

Jin chuckled, ruffling Jungkook’s hair.

“Don’t worry about it! Namjoon’s practically forgotten the whole thing. He just thinks it's funny now. And honestly, you fit in with us so well.”

Jungkook peeked at Jin through his fingers, his embarrassment slowly easing as Jin’s playful energy calmed him.

“Really?”

“Really,” Jin reassured, smiling warmly now. “But don’t think I won’t remind you of it every chance I get.”

Jungkook groaned dramatically, but this time there was a small smile on his face. “Great…”
