I snap back to reality when I feel my lover's arms wrapping around my waist with her concerned dark eyes watching me. Shaking my head hoping to ease her worries, I caress Ling's cheek while never leaving my eyes from hers.
How she talks so gently to me seems like a soothing bell. "You're truly beautiful, Nong Orm. Your eyes are attractive, your lips are alluring, and everything about you is gorgeous, darling—especially your heart, caring and sincere. So, don't worry, alright? You got everything, and I'd always be ready to remind you every time."
When she told me all that in her soft tone, her eyes stayed firm and serious, and I found myself smiling again as I hugged her tightly.
"Thank you for always making me feel confident, P'Ling."
"My pleasure, beautiful."
I can feel her kissing the side of my head before leaning back to make sure I can see her eyes when she utters this to me, "You're a gorgeous kind woman, Nong Orm. I believe you'd thrive and reach your dreams. And I'd be with you along your journey, supporting you through it all."
"And protecting me?"
Lingling nods and smiles to assure me, "Yes, I'd protect you and the people you love, too."
"Even when I'm no longer young and beautiful?"
She pats my head and smiles, amused. "You'd always be beautiful for me, Orm. Even if you turn into a worm, I'd still love you. I guess that's what you are mostly concerned about, hmm?"
It makes me laugh remembering how I was sulking during a show after asking her what she'd think of me if I turned into a worm. Lingling did not get the question at that time and since then she always tries to make it up to me by telling me she'd love me no matter what, even if I turn into an animal that she's scared of. What a cutie.
"I love you, Lingling."
"I love you too, my Orm."

"P'Ling..." I feel my body awaken slowly by the soft kisses on my lips that make me smile unconsciously.
Opening my drowsy eyes to look at my younger partner, I sit up straight so I can take her waist and make her settle on my lap.
Her sweet voice then invades my senses. "Why are you sleeping on the sofa, Tee rak?"
Leaning my face on her warm hand that is caressing my cheek, I smile gently and look straight into her brown tiring eyes. "I was waiting for you to come home and fell asleep, babe. You look so stunning with this dress and makeup, by the way. Wow."
She blushes when I check her out blatantly after I regain my focus. She is so gorgeous, damn.
"I attended a fashion show, baby. That's why the styling today is more fierce."
Rubbing her thighs soothingly, I am still smitten by her as I ask softly, "Did mommy send you home?"
Orm nods and I am about to stand up to greet her mom only for her to stop me by putting her hands over my chest. "She went back immediately as it's too late already, P'Ling. But she asked me to say good night to you, her precious daughter-in-law."
