37 - Thank You For Being Brave Enough

How can someone be this adorable?

I pretend to fall asleep but through my side glance, I can see P'Ling is not sleeping yet. She is smiling adorably at me while watching me sleep. Her soft finger would occasionally caress my skin but still being careful not to wake me up.

"We've set ourselves free, Nong Orm..."

I instantly bite my lower lip at her gentle voice as I open my eyes slightly to search for her face so I can give her a soft kiss on the lips.

"Yes, we did it, Tee rak."

Tilting my head to have a better angle in kissing her, I feel warmth all over me as she responds to my kiss in a really tender way, showing her genuine care for me.

"Thank you, P'Ling..." I run my finger over the collar of her white shirt, pushing her a bit so I can see her eyes. "Thank you for being brave enough. I know it was not easy for you to pour out your heart and feelings, all bare for the public to see, but you did it for us." Leaning my face closer to hers, I give her my best gummy smile. "You're amazing, Tee rak."

She smiles back at me with her infamous eye smile as her lips brush against mine. "Without you, none of this would have happened, darling."

P'Ling slips her hand over my hip to pull me closer, so close that our lips are fully pressed together. Lingling Kwong, can you not give me a heart attack without warning? Whenever you are making a move on me, I always succeed in falling even deeper.

"Well, I don't mind you falling for me, Nong. I enjoy it too much." Damn, she heard me.

I try to hide my face by leaning away for a bit, only for P'Ling to take this chance to kiss my forehead.

The kiss takes a little longer than usual and even without words, I know she is trying to convey her commitment to me. Her untold promises that she eventually seals them with a gentle peck on my nose.

"Should we get married then? Like you said, I'm stable in everything." She then winks at me cutely, proud of making me blush tremendously.

"P'Ling, just how many proposals you'd say to me, hmm?" Giving her a butterfly kiss, I hide my fluttering heart with my joke. But as always, the ever-so-cool P'Lingling would show how serious she is about us.

"I don't mind doing it countless times, Nong. I want you to know I'm fully committed to us and you are always included in my future plan." The way she gazes at me like I am her whole world makes me so touched and blessed. How I love you so, P'Ling...

With her soft voice, she continues, "I'll always wait until you're ready, Nong Orm, so please don't feel pressured by this, alright?"

Just like how I answered her in the fan meeting a few hours ago when she shared about us, I also do the same thing this time.

I kiss her with all my heart, pouring out feelings and emotions that are too deep to the point they cannot be solely described with words.

"Thank you for standing strong with me too, Nong Orm."

It is an extremely exhausting day for me as I start to walk out of our office building. Thankfully there are no fans around as it is getting late and I am not in a good condition to smile.

I have made a lot of important decisions these days about work, such as cutting ties with my former sponsors that are not buying the fact that I have announced my relationship. I got an earful of sarcasm throughout lots of meetings too but as I still stood my ground, I ended up ending most of the contracts. Those will impact my earnings of course, but for the first time, I am choosing my life over my career and it feels kind of...free.
